The next RNS I am expecting is the release of P1.5s to customers. I am hoping this will be during the first half of October.

Good indirect news from Jaguar Landrover today. Supported by government and getting back to business as usual soon. Indirect good news as they are likely to sign a licensing deal for the Goliath battery.

Both the presentation and the Q&A answers are now available on the Investor meet company website. There are some very important answers on there which may explain the strong Monday morning start. I have pulled out a few which I was very pleased to read.

Question 4:

Q. When will Goliath P1.5 10Ah prototypes ship to customers?

A. We are still planning to begin release of P1.5s to customers in CY25.

Question 5:

Q. Are the Goliath P2 50Ah prototypes (A-samples) still on track for the end of CY25?

A. Yes, we are still planning to begin release of P2s to customers in CY25.

Question 16:

Q. If I remember correctly you had Stereax revenues at approx $15m a few years back. What happened? Too expensive? Poor Yield? Something else ?

Answer from Meeting:

Well, look, the reality is we are still, deploying the technology to manufacture Stereax batteries through our partnership with Cirtec. And, you know, if you look at the analysts expectations, if you go actually to our website. And take a look at the investors page, you'll see there is plenty of research coverage on there. And, Stereax revenues are expected to get to that level and beyond. So, it's just a case of waiting for implementation and that commercial rollout to get to those levels of revenue.

I also remember the days of £2+. That was just based on hype and promising technology patents, whereas today is based on reality. Stereax in production. Goliath samples in production. If Ilika got to £2 just on hype, who knows where it will get to when Stereax starts generating income (imminently) and when licensing deals for Goliath start rolling in. The question is do the 21 customers wait for validation of P2 (50 Ah) or could validation of P1.5 (10Ah) be sufficient? Early movers usually get a preferential agreement. I will be watching closely for the RNS announcing release of the P1.5 samples to customers.

Thanks AJP, that explains why I was being quoted 115p to buy. Glad I scooped up a load at 104-105p, was never going to stay that low for very long. When there’s blood on the streets - BUY!

Company has come on leaps and bounds this year. That graph in the Simply Wall Street analysis says it all. Compant just needs to continue to improve its comms to draw in more new investors.

Hi Elsol, I do not consider myself to be a trader. If I am then I’m not very good at it as I lost a lot of money buying Itaconix up to circa 12p. However, I have learnt to be adaptable in my approach to Itaconix following painful experience of holding long term, and if there are opportunities to sell high and buy low then it makes sense to take them. Over time you can significantly build up the volume of shares you hold. The rest of my portfolio I just hold long term and I would much prefer to take the same approach with Itaconix. I believe at some point Itaconix will see sustained share price growth and I think that will occur soon so the days of buying the dips may be limited. Good luck all and DYOR.

IMO this is where we now are. £1 is the horizontal support level and once volume picks up we will ascend again. Therefore I feel ‘safe’ topping up at this level. Please don’t take my word for it, and take a look at the historic charts.

The Vox interview and Simply Wall Street analysis give plenty of cause for optimism. All the company trajectories are heading in the right direction and we are now half the fair value. The one thing that is missing is VOLUME. If the company can crack this and attract new private investors then a significant price reversal could occur very quickly.

Going by the very high volume of shares traded in the USA yesterday our American friends clearly likely the Ilika presentation and progress update. Luke Lango was one of the first to see the incredible potential of Ilika and called it opportunity of the century (or words to that effect). I understand some may be frustrated at how long it has taken to get here but that is the reality of solid state battery development. We are now on the threshold of a significant re-rating. We have major milestones coming up and any new partnership agreements will add to fuel to the fire. IMHO I see multiple returns here and that is a view echoed by the broker, whose analysis I strongly recommend reading if you have not done so already. just watched the vox interview with js. it contains lots of info not in the official presentation and the guy interviewing asks all the pokey questions we have been asking. the second half of the interview contains some really juicy stuff including a very strong start to h2 and timeline for second facility outside of america.

then secondly i read the simply wall street analysis. take a look at the earnings& revenue graph half way down and you will see why i’m buying. current fair value stated based on h1 is £2.09.

They don’t. They take the mid point and if it’s above that they say it’s a buy. If it’s below that they say its a sell. But it is very inaccurate as the price can vary by trading platform.

In an associated update this morning by Baden Hill they state “Ilika has evaluation agreements with 17 potential licensee partners, many being global tier-1 automotive OEMs, and has worked with BMW, Agritas and JLR as named partners on various UK grant-funded Goliath projects, PRIMED being the most recent. ”

They also state “The last 12 months have seen real acceleration in both the performance and process scale-up of Ilika’s SSB Goliath platform for EVs. Today’s news is further evidence the program is tracking toward delivering a minimum viable product (‘MVP’) into tier-1 automotive partner hands for evaluation and subsequent licensing in the near-term.”

I’ve been trying to work out who are the likely partnerships for Ilika’s Goliath battery. Well now we know one of their suitors! Looking through historic RNS I also think the Stellantis group will be another. Be interested to hear what other Private Investors are speculating?

Hi Elsol, I think that you are right about there being an opportunity for PIs to make small profits whilst the share price is stuck in its “rise, rinse and repeat” cycle as I call it. In fact those profits are not so small if for example you buy at 95-100p and sell at 130p. Of course there are risks to be had with any trading strategy and at some point in the future that strategy will break down when there is a sustained increase in share price due to improved investor sentiment and new investors coming on board. There is also the risk of missing out on unexpected good news. Hard to knock anyone who has managed to make some money here in recent years. Personally I don’t believe that any posters here can seriously influence the share price. I don’t see big trades taking place and people should always do their own due dilligence and remember that everyone has their own interests at heart. It is the company who drive the share price, not PIs.

I recommend following Ilika on LinkedIn. You will find that they are very active presenting at battery trade conferences and major events across the world. For example, if you’re attending the 2nd Excellence in Battery Manufacturing Processes, Planning, Regulations and Technology of Battery Cells and Systems, in Berlin at the end of the month, Ilika’s CEO Graeme Purdy will be there both days. He’ll be there presenting, moderating a panel and participating in a panel discussion.

Just read the article. Great that more and more companies across different industry sectors are looking as SSBs. I wouldn’t underestimate the technical knowledge, experience, IP and patents that Ilika have developed over the years. They are in a very strong position to negotiate partnerships over the coming months.

It did stick in the throat when JS said how happy he was making 15% margin on the SPARX deals and then in the interview the following day said the company was one jump in income away from being profitable. I presume that whatever the ditched biggest customer’s margin was, it was still greater than 15%. It begs the question if Itaconix still had that income would the company be profitable now?

I doubt we will ever know the full story on that strategic decision and it still rankles me.

Another positive signal is the the number of shares shorted has fallen from almost 300,000 in February to just 8000 at the end of August. I agree with you about Stereax, it’s why I originally invested here. There partnership with Cirtec will be very profitable and I think people under-estimate this. With Ilika you get 2 bites at great riches thanks to Stereax and Golliath. My portfolio is super-heavy invested in Ilika and hopefully I’ll be able to retire on it! Good luck all
