Yes I also thought it would fly but I think the reason it hasn’t is because the RNS specifically mentions December for release of the 10Ah P1.5 samples followed by the 50Ah samples shortly after. Therefore I think the markets have taken a very short term view. I think this represents a good opportunity to load up over the coming weeks, knowing that there will be a RNS in December. Once the samples go out I expect rapid progress with license agreements in H1 2026. Coinciding with this will be the announcement of the first revenues from Stereax.

Sadly I don’t think any of us writing to the company holds any weight. We know they read this bulletin board but do they take any notice of it? Probably not. I’ve never really felt that Itaconix particularly cares about small fish such as ourselves.

But and it is a big ‘but’ there are much bigger players that have literally sunk millions into Itaconix whenever the company have raised funds, and they can not be happy that they are down 7 figure sums. Now what they say does have power and I would like to think that the reason they are still invested here is because Itaconix communicate a whole lot better with them. I imagine they get information along the lines of what is in the more detailed broker reports which is why I put more stock in them than the company updates.

Another milestone reached in Goliath commercialisation

Ilika has announced that it has completed a successful final commissioning test of its automated assembly line, a core element of the pilot production process to deliver Goliath solid-state batteries (SSBs). With this SSB pilot line now operational, the ability to improve manufacturing yield and product consistency will enable Ilika to deliver higher volumes of Goliath SSBs for both its own internal and customer validation and testing programmes. This is another significant milestone achievement, as indicated at the time of the FY25 results in July, in the commercialisation strategy around Ilika’s SSBs for transportation.

— Goliath P1.5 (10Ah) prototypes to ship within 2025: The ability to deliver P1.5 prototypes with consistent performance and quality further de-risks the potential future scale-up to giga-scale production as well as meeting the stringent requirements of customers test programmes. This should enhance prospects for adding to existing OEM commercial relationships. Ilika is on track to start releasing its 10Ah (10 amp-hour) P1.5 prototypes to customers by the end of 2025.

— Goliath P2 (50Ah) prototype progress: Working with the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) as part of the PRIMED programme and utilising the electrode production facilities at UKBIC, Ilika is working to further scale up 50Ah battery production to A-Sample scale, as previously detailed on 22 September. The PRIMED programme is due to deliver the production of P2 (50Ah) SSB prototype cells, the development of 50Ah A-Sample batteries, the creation of a Production Scale Model, as well as a comprehensive Business Case Review for gigafactory-scale manufacturing. With the P1.5 prototypes going out to customers by the end of 2025, it is anticipated that the P2 (50Ah) prototype cells can then follow on, incorporating valuable customer feedback from the validation and testing work around the P1.5 prototypes.

The fact they have commissioned two assembly lines (one in-house and one in collaboration with UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) supported by Jaguar Land Rover), tells you how much interest there is. In my humble option we are well on our way to £1 share price by end of 2025.

A method is provided for fabricating a component material for a battery cell. The method comprises the steps of: providing a partially-fabricated battery cell, the partially-fabricated battery cell comprising a substrate having a planar deposition surface consisting of a first face of the substrate and a first battery component layer provided on the planar deposition surface, the substrate having a plurality of further surfaces, the planar deposition surface and the plurality of further surfaces defining the body of the substrate therebetween; wherein: the first battery component layer contains charge-carrying metal species and has an exposed surface; one or more electrically conductive or semi-conductive pathways extend through at least a portion of the substrate, each of the one or more pathways connecting the planar deposition surface to one of the plurality of further surfaces; and the partially-fabricated battery cell is held in position within a deposition chamber by a holding structure and each site of connection between one of the one or more pathways and the holding structure is electrically insulating; the method further comprising the step of depositing a second battery component layer on the first battery component layer, wherein the depositing comprises forming a plasma within the deposition chamber.

This is a significant patent (12415888) dated 16th September 2025 so why hasn’t there been a RNS??

When hair is bleached it can be otherwise damaged and become brittle or porous, and loose shine. As a consequence, a need exits to treat such damaged hair to assist in restoring its original properties. Skin can also suffer damage from excessive washing with soap or exposure to alcohol.

The present invention, among other things, is directed at multibranched acid terminated oligomers including 6 or more vinylidene groups, derived from itaconic acid, a hydroxy terminated polyol and a multifunctional hydroxy compound. Such oligomers may then be utilized to treat damaged hair or skin.

Whenever the share price sinks to £1 I ask myself whether a hostile takeover is possible. I realise I don’t have the knowledge to answer this and wonder if anybody else knows whether this is possible?

Insiders hold 16% and institutions hold 59% of the free float so I guess in theory the institutions would need to work together to make this happen. They bought in at much higher levels so must be just as frustrated as us Private Investors. Nobody likes loosing money especially when it’s big losses and IMO the company does not take share price serious enough as it doesn’t affect their day to day operations.

Most of us agree that there is nothing wrong with the company except their marketing abilities and a big fish would lick their lips at this attractive company about to hit profitability with impressive annual growth and amazing opportunities ahead.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the company except their inability to attract new private investors. Most days there are more posts than share trades which is something unique to Itaconix. For the next AGM I will be submitting a resolution that AJP become director of marketing at Itaconix.

My money is on RNS next week. Earlier in the week it seems (in my opinion) that the Market makers cleverly walked price down to load up at 40p so they can maximise the benefit from upcoming news.

In addition to quarterly trading / financial updates as laid out by AJP in a post earlier this week, please can the company introduce a monthly bulletin/newsletter on its website. This would have more impact than the sporadic LinkedIn posts which reach a limited audience.

Great price to load up at when a RNS on Goliath is imminent. Also interested to find out any feedback from this evening’s presentation by Denis Pasero at the huge Detroit battery confernce.

Hopefully next time we hit 50p we can sustain it and motor past it towards £1.

I would be in favour of scheduled quarterly trading updates. The more regular the updates the less volatility between trading updates. I agree with AJP that we are likely to get a trading update soon and now that Q3 is complete it could be sooner than we think.

Lithium-ion batteries (LIB) are the chemistry of choice when it comes to powering electric vehicles (EV) currently. But EV drivers still hope for longer range and a better charging experience. A new chemistry, namely solid-state batteries (SSB), promises better vehicle performance when lithium-ion will eventually plateau. This safer and higher performance chemistry allows for battery packs to become lighter, enabling longer range, higher acceleration and faster charging.

A collaboration between UK SSB company Ilika and Balance Batteries modelled a hypothetical battery pack for a Hyundai Ioniq 5, by replacing the SK-On NMC cells in the pack by future Ilika solid state cells. The study found that a SSB battery pack could be 100 kg lighter than a conventional LIB pack and cost $2,500 less. In addition, lighter vehicles containing SSB cells will contribute fewer kg of CO2 emissions than a LIB alternative. This presentation explains how this can be made possible, evidenced by latest battery performance and safety data from Ilika’s solid state cells.

I half expected a short lived sell off from 50p as that is what happened earlier this year. But given that a RNS on release of 1.5 prototypes to customers could land any day, I think it’s a risky strategy to be selling at present. My target price is an order of magnitude higher than 50p so personally happy to ignore the noise and use dips as an opportunity to add more, though my portfolio is now very Ilika heavy 😅

It would be good if the company did a press release to celebrate the granting of the patent and more importantly to explain its application. I still think the company do not celebrate / publicise half their achievements.
