It seems that every couple of weeks there is positive speculation on vaccine advances which boosts the SP upwards of 10% and then it drifts down in the subsequent 2 weeks or so on the back of a steady drip of news that It will take longer to deal with the virus. Like others waiting for the end of July update before committing. Until we are told how much cash has been eroded we won’t know whether additional funds need to be raised or not. You know the saying the bigger they are the harder they fall!

174p as expect results and cash burn rate to be worse than predicted. Also WW will again paint a very negative outlook due to the necessary restructuring. For transparency I sold out today and intend to buy back in around this price or lower.

Yeah see the stock market knock another 1% off IAG SP. Have a feeling the 200p barrier won’t last this week

@ChrisEngland I actually think BOO is low risk. The recent furore will be very short lived and the cut in SP well over done. The longer the pandemic runs in USA the better for its growing sales there. Expect the next Boohoo financial update to be a corker!

Great opportunity to top up IMO Jet2 and Ryanair will bounce back much quicker than BA. Most routes are already open. Reckon this SP will double in the next 12 months

Very disappointed at the Chancellor’s statement. Nothing to stimulate the overseas travel sector. No wonder jobs continue to be haemorrhage

Given the likely prolonged downturn with travel to the America’s I’m not sure whether the planned cuts at BA go far enough. However, BA should be applauded for their plans to level salaries to finally get the company on a level playing field. I just hope there is no backing down!

Beginning to get a little twitchy as really thought today would be a good day in advance of the air bridge announcement. What if:
a) Warren Buffett is right?
b) Willy Walsh is being honest about the perilous position BA is in

I guess if point of travel testing is introduced that solves the quarantine issue wherever you are travelling from. Given how much is at stake for the airline industry I imagine they will bottom this out soon

I can see European flights soon been resolved but my concern is the America’s. They never dealt with the first wave and I can’t see the govt allowing flights to and from such areas for a long time. Until the America’s are sorted I can’t see the SP staying above 300. Dart and Ryanair SP will recover quicker
but am holding IAG for long term gain

In a nutshell the trajectory is gonna be an upward one as IAG is one hell of a company that will survive and come out stronger. However, there will be massive bumps along the way. Great for traders not so great for the rest of us but firmly believe patience will eventually pay off

Going into the weekend I’m not as confident as I was. Can see Ryanair air Dart(Jet2) heading your because of the routes they cover. But if the air bridge list is quite limited I’m now worried IAG might actually drop. I hold more IAG shares than any other airliner so really hope this is not the case

Sunday Times reporting ‘up to’ 10 air bridges will initially be announced. Still think this will benefit Jet2, Ryanair, EasyJet more than BA in the short term but hope I’m wrong!

Newbie You are right. Qatar Airways said they are more than happy to support BA if required.
Big jock I strongly disagree. When Dart (Jet2.com) very recently created an additional 20% worth of shares the share price shot up instantly because investors were then confident the firm had liquidity through to next summer.

It’s not just the air bridges. It’s the lowering to level 3 and just general acceptance that life and business needs to go on whilst we continue to develop the vaccine. Feel confident this will be a U shaped recovery though one with business casualties along the way!

I do think it will be the likes of Ryanair, Jet2 and EasyJet who see the biggest jump in share price as there main routes will be covered

My wife is a social worker for a large mental Health provider. All staff received an email today titled “holidays and travel” giving them the good news that the quarantine period is not required for ‘registered healthcare workers’ e.g Doctors, Social Workers, Nurses, OT’s. Doesn’t solve the essential travel advice I suppose but certainly encourages staff to book holidays. My wife is currently deciding where to book! lol
