RE: Studios Rewarded For Delaying Movie Releases1 Jul 2021 13:31
Dragon, with Algo trades, it could be that based on news throughout the day, they change the parameters such that they either decide to buy or sell. Now like us they will have to avg down or up depending on their precious days purchase.
After all these algo trades want to make money and to me, I think majority of these algo trades are from the shorts. When the day's news is good they will start closing some of the trades, which means they will start buying and price goes up and when the mid day news is turning bad, they reset parameters to start selling with volume depending on how bad is the news.
When the wider market is going down, shorts will do their best to pull cine down even further and make money by closing the shorts like today. These shorts don't get reported for some reason. May be because there are multiple companies shorting together on bad day and cumulative effect is big with a 6% drop but each company's short percentage not big enough to report?
So what we should be doing is buy when the price is going down so y'day was the best time to buy but not saying it is not right time to buy today. Basically as long as there is no bad news specific to cine, we should either be buying(to bring avg down or up) when shorts/Algo trades are taking it down or just wait and not panic and do not sell.
Bottom line, we will get back to 90s and above as more and more good news keeps coming. We have Black widow release and a big long weekend coming in US, July 19th freedom day and more importantly box office numbers are looking promising.
Hold tight. I just topped up another small amount but not enough to bring the avg down. Holding £35k.
