Plenty of people have predicted volatility for the next few weeks, but as things stand he ranks up there with Paul the Octopus in terms of being able to predict things.

That should have said a drop to 5p by September.

Credit where its due?

He predicted 13p then a drop to by September.

Gives no reasoning whatsoever and so far the price has been sub 15p for minutes.

I'm holding judgement.

I managed to work my way through "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" which is a fictionalized biography of his, it's of it's time but if you read it in the voice of Mr Burns from the Simpsons it all makes sense and although markets change people never do. What I also took from it and like was the attitude towards losses, all part of a learning experience.

Poor Charlies Almanac is my next financial tome,I'm expecting it to be very different!

I managed to find both on the internet quite readily for a very knockdown price.

Different strategies work for different people and at different times, I lost about a 1000 shares in SXX trying to be a billy big ****** the only share I've tried to trade. My spirit stock animal is a Munger not a Livermore, and I'm comfortable with that.

Anybody who claims they get it right all the time doesn't need to spend time on this board, and of course there will be those who get lucky who proclaim to be magicians, you'll here from them, confirmation bias makes it so.

Consider this if there's sixteen posters making bets on four evenly weighted outcomes by flipping a coin. One of them is going to get every call right and look like a genius.

I'd read somewhere, most likely on this forum that there needed to be changes to the adm torp.

If memory serves, it was around a penalty clause for sirius not delivering the polyhiye on time (pro tip - don't use yodel)

I could have sworn the ratings were the other way round in an earlier FT report, with Fitch offering 'B' and Standard and Poor going for 'B-' have i gone mad?

Not seeing a problem myself with the Fitch report when put into context.

It backs up a B rating on the bonds and for the next few weeks that's the most important context.

Fitch have cast a cynical eye (they have to these days don't they) and said this company is fine to invest in albiet with a some risk, that's a good thing.

I've advised other people to read the report because it will help understand *other* peoples perception of Sirius and some of the more bearish arguments, which is pretty important at the moment.

If it raises questions which can then be answered, then that's a good thing.

Good links, I'd urge people to at least click on the Fitch one, it's surprisingly detailed (well for a bond novice like me), and worthy of discussing.

However we've known from the off the company was likely to get a Junk rating the question was whether or not they'd hit B rather than a lower grade IMO.

Nothing is concrete.

But it says 'B' from two agencies.

Opinion pieces aside the FT has decent form when it comes to actual news about Sirius.

Trading underground for example - Doesn't take much to link the founder to a motley fool journo , but that's heading into tin foil hat territory.

In terms of manipulating the price to borrow sure big 'whales' can have an impact on the price, but they can't really collude too much as if a bargain appears another big buyer can come in and reap the rewards.
