Knowing they are allowed can be the difference in how much equity you can keep.

As far as I can tell the downside would be further dilution, and it might not be possible due to the existing convertible bonds in escrow.

Due to the fact that a successful outcome is very much dependent on external macro factors now, I've got a reduced holding, but will come back in for more if / when things improve.

You want to look at the spread between junk yields and investment grade bonds.

The wider this is the less people trust riskier companies, my understanding (and I'm often wrong) is that this widened as government bonds went down.
