Can't say I wasn't badly stung by the madness of crowds (and indeed I ran with the mob from time to time).

Some good advice being dished out here.

90% in safe stocks is where I'm at.

And the 10% in riskier stocks stops keeps me occupied and stops me fannying around with the rest of my portfolio. Doing nothing is often a winning strategy.

I'll be keeping an eye on AAL sold out years ago at five pounds when it looked like they were going down the ****ter.

Given they're very much in thrawl to the commodities cycle. I'll bide my time.

I personally don't think danakali would compliment AAL s proposed purchase of sirius, if you have faith in polyhalite then that's up 13 million tons of low chloride fertiliser you need to shift.

I think a mop producer could be a better fit. (Dnk could produce it at some point but hopefully you get what I mean)

That said BHP have played a hand with the Jansen project, we now have AAL looking to get in. It stands to reason the other big miners will be sniffing around. Away from Danakali im pretty sure someone will try to consolidate all the Aussie native potash plays like SO4, APC and KLL.

Question is, would you actually want Danakali to be snapped up?

I disagree, polyhalite is already a low chloride fertiliser and they'll have plenty! A better tie up would be between SXX / AAL and Emmerson for a MOP / Polyhalite blend.

I think they're right on the big miners coming in though.

After escaping SXX in August after the bonds were pulled for the first time, I decided to put the money into 3 of the 4 other potash plays I'd be following as a kind of recovery play. Eml, So4 and Dnk (danakali). DNK is very interesting, a fantastic resource but... not for the risk averse due to geopolitics. Kore Potash I rejected due to capital costs (I'd learned my lesson with Sirius).

In terms of Aussie potash plays, unless I'm mistaken Austrialian Potash share a lake with So4 so you're not really getting anything new. Kalium could be worth looking at, as that's permitted also Reward minerals. I haven't done much due dilligence on them as I've collected enough potash companies for now but the Hot Copper forum is a good place to look.

I thought I'd read that Interactive Brokers would allow you to buy Aussie Shares but can't confirm.

I'm guessing people are being skittish because of the location.

Take away that and it's easily the best prospect out there.

Considering how far along they are, it's worth a punt, but IMO geopolitcal risks exist, and this is reflected in the bargain basement price.

It's a shame if this puts people off the stock market, and that will be one of the biggest tragedies of this.

There's plenty out there with much lower risk profiles that will help people recover with time, but ... it will take time if you play it safe.

An inability to answer these things can only lead me to one of two conclusions either the poster is inept at research or just purposefully trolling and shouldnt be engaged further.

I'm still waiting for answers on the debt levels and this drop in profits mentioned.

Let's establish a baseline of credibility.

EML a rising star on the ASX unless I'm mistaken, my question was genuine since the post i replied to was pretty vague on specifics you could probably cut and pasted it and it would seem relevant for 80% - 90% of fledgling companies.

Your points on debt from the earlier post interest me, what is the debt pile you speak of when you say the company is "indebted"?

Also what are these earnings? I as under the impression this company had no earnings? Where did you get the figure 35% from?

Aside from that the points you raise about the amount of cash available and more cash being needed with possible dilution on the way I have no argument with as such, money for a build will have to come from somewhere. I'm sure other people will have opinions on this.
