Looks like a late declared straight up sell. The trades around it back that up also.

I don't see JP investing himself as a selfish thing, granted he may do well out of the deal, but he investing does provide a level of confidence.

He has to raise funds quickly, to do this there has to be a small discount and there is no better demonstration to would be investors when he can say I and other colleagues are buying some.

I would of preferred a short term loan, but there was probably not time and its still more risky if there are cashflow issues later on.

No concerns here, more equity so more shares....

I think it is, they cant hold on to price sensitive information and release it as and when they like, but coincidences are possible, just unlikely.

The investor night itself might drum up some new investment.

Historically I thought the confidentiality of the client was in SML's interest to ensure freeport dont simply cut us out and undertake the activities at the mine themselves.

When we had a number of smaller customers its not worth freeports hassle, but one bigger customer makes it rewarding.

I dont know where its stated that the customer wants confidentiality, maybe both parties do???

I think and hope its sorted before then.

earning, my post was not aimed at any of your posts so I am not sure why you are trying to call me out?

I simply agreed with trouts post about posting negativity and that it is completely counter productive.

Within the boundaries of decency, Ts&C's and privacy people are free to post whatever they like.

If I was promised money by someone by a date, I wouldn't complain publicly or to them until AFTER said date. I am sure most of the LTHs here are not naïve simply because they don't post worrying remarks about a timeline that hasn't completed yet

I do agree they have had issues in the past paying, but remember they need the magnetite more than we need their custom.

I never understand why people are publicly negative about the shares they own, if they are that concerned they should sell.

I think if a payment was made last night in the US, then the delay for clearance and time difference will mean a late in the day RNS at best or maybe Monday.

Companies don't write letters of intent to buy time, they simply don't respond.

yes that's how I took it, 70% concentration, so they provide 1.35ish tonnes

So let recap for anyone new looking in:-

SML have right to a stock pile of magnetite in new mexico, this is their cash cow and keeps dilution to a minimum

SML have a copper mine in west Australia that's just commencing operation, they have sold a small amount of copper cement, it is early days but its going well.

SML have 50% and are shortly buying the remaining 50% of a world class tin/tungsten mine. Paid for from the above operations

SML have in the back ground around 20 tenements in a mineral rich area of australia (although on hold due to priorities)

the future is huge for this £20mil cap mining company.
