Moved from Halifax a coupleof years ago. A complete disaster. Website not functioning (never their fault), trades unexecuted, dividends not credited without chasing up. They are not proper stockbrokers. Cheap for a reason. Their staff pleasant but denied anything was wrong. This went on for a long time till I moved to HL.

Yes. Bought in at 65p :-) At a low, just like most of the other stocks in our multi-million (mostly ISA) portfolio. Keep chicken-shxxxxing about 0.85%... 85% bed occupancy... and fantasy 15% dividends. I'll collect my - tax free - six figure divi every year. ;-)

Numbers not good, but already factored into the price? Divi maintained at (a rebased 5p) 5.9%.
And all sorts of trends confirmed as strongly positive.

Thought I'd add us to the "3 year fixed price" crowd. The quote came in almost three times more expensive than my current Insurer's renewal quote!

Rupert Hargeaves is probably their best contributor. But again, I'm not sure how he comes to the 9.8% dividend yield figure. (Implying a 4p divi, when the final dividend has not yet been announced?). Won't complain if that happens though.

Really quite a ridiculous overreaction. It'll all blow over within a month and this will all be background market 'noise' that is ever present. If not the virus today, it'll be Iran, Euro, Greece, HongKong, Trade Talks, Impeachment, Elections.... etc etc etc. tomorrow.

Actually, they might well have stopped the rot. Report in the Sunday paper today saying that 900k customers reverted back to the 'big six'. So that means at least 150k back to CNA. Should impact the sp positively tomorrow?

Well!... I thought the ouija board predicted a 0.3 percent daily loss for the next two weeks.... it's gone up over 4% since the prediction. Never mind, discussion ended.

Blondeamon... I have found over the years... these juju merchants always have an explanation after the event. Never calling it correctly before. My initially dismissive comment was to try and allay newcomers from falling into their trap. Trading is like tossing a coin and hoping for the best. Ownership is like watching others making your money for you.

Dugg, yes I see SAGA doing well, even reaching 100p ish. But for fundamental, business related reasons. Not because of candlesticks, dancing white men, or golden crossed gobbledygook.
