We don't know for this year, not announced yet, but last year the ex-div date was 11 Oct 2018, and 9 May 2019. You have to hold on ex-div date to qualify for dividends.
CNA 'yields' 13.67% , but the odds are very heavily in favour of a dividend cut. How much is still unknown. I'm hoping for 50% or less, still giving a yield of c. 7%.
The political risk is a big issue here, with Corbyn threatening to acquire the Utililities etc at a fraction of the price. If he is defeated (as I hope and expect) then this share will rocket.
