Some interesting posts this weekend on the subject of our CEO.
IMO he should not of course be worshipped as the Messiah. Sometimes he has no doubt got things wrong. However to have got the company to this stage in the teeth of the Tanzanian Revolution (if you could call it that) is in my view nothing short of amazing.
The only thing that matters to us though is the share price. It has been pants total pants.Thats why every frustrated post over the weekend is entirely understandable.
However imo no one could have done any better than LC to improve that.
Directors buys can smack of desperation and no long term effect anyway.
It can possibly be argued he is at times over optimistic If there is anything in that my answer is.I should think so too. Who wants a CEO with a negative mindset. One thing that no one can credibly impugn is his integrity.
Timing is all when investing in AIM.
I like many of the rest of us invested in KIBO at a time 3 or 4 years ago when I thought things were nearing fruition. Little did I or anyone else know that in hindsight we were still pretty much only on the starting blocks.
Now I take the view that KIBO is at the stage I thought it was at when I first invested. I'm expecting to at least 3 bag before the summer

I still have high hopes for Tanzi but worst case scenario there is nothing it can do now to stop us being a success.

Don’t know about you but in my opinion its been a steady January. Our New Year RNS set the vibe and largely changed the prevailing mood from one of frustration to one of hopefulness (tho’ its understandable if patience is in short supply in the case of one or two holders who have exhausted their supply of it over the years).
Will next weeks meeting and any announcement around it produce fireworks or simply continue to chart a steady course?
One thing I am sure of. The timing is significant and furthermore in my opinion there were very good reasons why the exact timing of it had to be delayed. LC isn’t coming to London just to have our meeting.

I like a debate but if a poster seeks to start one on the question of whether or not a SML issuance has any value I would sidestep engagement with that poster.

I don’t think there is any leak. This is KIBO. We play with a straight bat.
I think what there is is the first rumblings of our long awaited rerate.
Imo we have been artificially rock bottom because of one or more persistent sellers who have now ( or at least most of them) stopped. One immediate consequence is a somewhat happier chatboard which is the first fruits imo of a sentiment shift which on AIM is the holy grail.
Oh I nearly forgot to mention we have potentially exciting news which could fall from 5 or 6 immediate sources.

But I believe I can say categorically that the issue of the SML is not conditional on the ability to see into the future and know with 100% certainty that the power station will be built.

So you are suggesting that a statement that the SML is not linked with the tender process is consistent with a statement that the AG's recommendation of acceptance of the SML is conditional on the tender process?

Re your post of 11.39 Sonic if you are suggesting that the AG's recommendation for acceptance is conditional on KIBO's project being sanctioned thro' the tender process I disagree. We have already been told by RNS that that linkage does not exist.
The logical conclusion is surely that there is no such condition.

The AG disagrees with you Sonic. He has recommended it for acceptance.

A bit of logic required here perhaps
1. It is logical to assume that all three SML's are being delayed for the same reason.
2. The reason for the delay of the other two is nothing to do with any Government desire to hold back due to energy policy or the tender process.

3. Our delay is also unlikely to be cos of either of the reasons in Point 2.

It’s just a pet theory I have that one of the main reasons we are where we are is that one or more persons/entities have been systematically offloading over the last few months. If thats right and they have stopped it would be good news for us. Won’t take much imo for sentiment of us fickle PI’s to turn rather positive and then.....
