Seriously good news will be great. However I have seen many time on AIM a sp suddenly turn without it. Shareholder action is a big factor on AIM..... and yes that does then change sentiment and adds to the action. Deliberate moves to influence the sp can and do happen.

Worth noting that all of the news here has been good for a while now. Sentiment is a fickle. If investors thought it was a good idea to invest when the SP was higher, years ago when we didnt even have a drill then what on earth does good news look like?

It's true that it isnt mm's. It's the impact that a large holder or group of large holders can have on an AIM company.

MM's much maligned are really just managing liquidity. If you have a large holding you can sell a big bunch of shares and that forces the SP down because the mm needs to lower the sp to shift those shares. mms do not want to hold large numbers of shares and will take sp action to shift them.

So with that influence you can sell shares and then buy them back at a lower price and then rinse and repeat (IMHO clearly happening since just after the investor presentation).

Cybertron. Yes indeed. This sp has been carefully 'facilitated' since the investor presentation. It isnt in the interests of whoever is behind that to keep the sp down here.

So all those folk who go down the bookies to bet on the nags. They won't anymore because they might not win? Seriously if anyone thinks there can't be any increased interest in this ahead of results doesnt understand human nature.

UKOG's bonkers Turkey drill in April was a great recent example of how the herd simply cannot resist. It will come.

For the 2021 Tai1 drill HE1 RNS'd helium shows at about 75 meters. This was one week after spud. So all to play for whether they decide to announce shows or not - appreciate the geology of this well is somewhat different.

On a positive RNS. So many get spiked by trying to get in on the way up. For me it's very dangerous things to do. Maybe a day or so later if it still makes sense to do so but ultimately, whatever your timing before or after results, you are always waiting for the next news.

But likely they would comment on helium shows when they announce target depth.

I have actually changed my mind on the helium shows. I now think they 'could' RNS an update on the way down to target depth. But I don't expect it or think it's an issue if they don't.

My understanding is that they drill right through to target depth whilst logging science all the way down. Then they perforate the well casing to run the real science. I would suggest they can perforate at various levels depending on what indicators they found on the way down. So clemdave - lakebed/ karoo etc.

I did not research this response v RNS's or the recent presentation so other may poop on my parade.

.... and by the way. Investing in Investment Funds or high div FTSE stock is a very sound idea for the majority of your wealth.

This should be a manageable punt. Granted I want it to do well enough to make a meaningful difference, pay off a chunk of mortgage or retire a year or 2 earlier but it's a just a shot at that at the right price for the risk/reward rather than the most likely outcome.

However, if there is a discovery, it still isn't risk free. So much can happen after that. You could invest in whatever the SP is after a discovery but what is the upside after that. Sure it could all work out great on the journey to commercialisation or that price might be as good as it ever gets.

At that point I'm investing in off peak FTSE stocks or investment funds if that's my attitude to risk.

Legal. I agree that's a dynamic but I still think it gets more interesting for potential investors the closer we get to results. At these levels whats the upside of the wheel landing on black? 4-10 bags? Are you seriously suggesting nobody is thinking on that? If I wasn't invested already I would happily have a punt on that ahead of results with money I could afford to lose (not withstanding at this low SP I probably won't lose that much of it anyway with another drill on the way).

Investment the other side of results really isn't that interesting for a lot of investors - it's a long road to commercialisation and your starting point will be a high sp.

LegalWolf. You describe about 2 types of investors. There are many others. Some will go all in right through to results. Some will sell half after target depth. Some will invest 50% before results and ahold another 50% for after results. etc. So many different approaches. You can't write off the 'invest ahead of results option' because whilst it's a gamble the potential returns are great - for those willing to invest money they can afford to lose...

We are still too far from next news to get this moving from a retail investor perspective. Different market from 2021 - not enough retail investors around any more. Volume will come but the period of interest will be shorter. So maybe end next week.

This excludes the artificial pump we will likely get any day now when 'captain money bags worked the share price and accumulated a stack of cheap shares' decides to make a move.

A random Helium show RNS might make a difference but I think the last round of comms suggests they might not announce even if they have them.

I honestly think it will go up rapidly when it does but fed up with thinking about it now.

To be fair Nobles sp is still well below summer highs.

It's a total pain is the butt this HE1 sp but you know what - patience makes us better investors. Can't say I'm enjoying it though. Would love it if they issued an RNS on helium shows but think they will wait until target depth is hit - hope I'm wrong.

Watch out for the inevitable pump before then though.

The SP is being actively managed and has been since the investor presentation. It's a risk for AIM shares as it is very possible for a small number of brokers/individual HNW people to control the sp, it really doesnt cost a lot to do it if you have the funds and the shares in hand.

What this also means is that there will also be intent to pump this at some point soon. It makes no sense for anyone to trade/ work this sp at these levels if they don't intend to make a big profit. I think we will get a big pump on this soon. It will only take a few dozen trades to dry up the liquidity and force the mms to increase the sp and then we go.

Or am I nuts? Maybe so.
