Any ideas anyone??? Thanks.
I appreciate your views, and may be you will be proved right. However, my judgement of AIM companies is to look at the management, and BREE's is superb. They acquire well, steamline, vertically and horizontally integrate and add value to the shareholder. It has been a quiet time for acquisitions but they will come....and the sp will rise. If not, Mr Tom and his team are not the team we have come to know, and trust over the past years when the sp was 20p!
Seems to me the uncertainty re these 2 is weighing on BREE and other building suppliers, plus infra structure shares. Carillion did a lot to damage confidence in the sector, and the ripple effect on the supply chain companies such as our excellent one here. GLA!.
Apparently there was some negative circular going around yesterday - hit Talktalk as well. No other reason fofr the drop, so looking forward to the recovery, as started today.
Why?????
Half buys, half sells. About the same as the posts on this site! Merit in both sides of the argument - bad communication, potential corruption re Taz, contrasted by, similar results to last year, debt still a problem, higher grade stones being sourced and capex pruned. The truth is most probably somewhere in the middle. However, the shares at under 60p look cheap, but we all said the bottom, and support level was 120p, then 100p, then 80p etc. reluctantly, I am resigned to this being a long term investment of 2-5 years as I will not sell and incur a 40p per share loss. Contracts in the bag, low volume and massive slip in the SP! Ideas anyone?
Share price was low anyway. Yes the results are disappointing, and personally I still have an av buying price of 99p. However, the report is not one of "all is lost", and I continue to have confidence in the mid to long term, and will look to lower my average soon. GLA
Can't say that the results are exciting, but neither are they disappointing. Business activity, in the form of construction,in Jersey, for some years, has been greater than Guernsey. For the SP to be at issue price, is the real disappointment for me, and however good the BOD are, and however glowing their CV's, it just is not happening (yet) for SRC. I hope it does, but the acquisitions, to date, have been small compared to Ronez, and I expected my dynamic action from the BOD. As a BREE holder, I know where my money has given a better return for the comparative y/e. GLA
Quiet day after the turmoil of yesterday! I really cannot see this staying below the mid 80';s for long. All of the dominoes are in place, and BREE will continue to expand. Not at all worried by lack of dividend, nor minor management decisions re Xmas bonuses etc - this is a sound company and will continue to advance giving capital return. GLA
