Hi Thanks for that. The y/e is 31/12, and I see CNKS involved with the 450m take-over of Lagan Group by BREE last month, which involved 220m placement of BREE shares. Just thought this kind of recent involvement would have lifted the SP. GLA
Very quiet here, considering the magnitude of this Lagan acquisition! To me, it is very good news, not based on price, although I think this is reasonable. What it does is place BREE at a new higher investment level, and diversifies the risk slightly away from just UK. This side of Lagan is well managed, and there is no "hang-over" from the past MD taking a place on the BOD. Well done P.T and all the BOD of BREE!
I am still very disappointed with the performance since the takeover of Ronez, and the subsequent small acquistions. To be at a SP less than 40, to me, just reflects that the business is meandering along and cannot raise the funds for seriously larger purchases. Niche concrete products maybe "nice" but so is homemade jam from the church bazaar - nice but not going to create a significant financial return for anyone! The year end results will be interesting, but I cannot see any major improvement as the fundamental markets in Guernsey and Jersey remain relatively static.GLA.
Been here since 99p and wish I hadn't - just like trying to catch a falling Zulu spear! I don't agree re the parcel - firstly, even if lost, it is not going to break the company. Secondly, any CFO and auditor, would have provided for the loss on the grounds of "prudence" if it was felt that provision should have been made. The company seem confident that it will be returned, and until I am told otherwise, I assume this to be the case. IMO this will recover and I might even get my money back. In the meantime, and especially re Tanz, I feel there is too much emphasis on it, and even more idle speculation. GLA
