Hope has many doors open to them in huge areas that Breedon do not trade in. It is a natural progression to piggy-back in the aggregates side of the business to this supply train plus also tarmac. At the top of Breedon's mission statement are words to the effect, "Give great service to the customer and react quickly to their requirements". At the AGM, PT stated that they were looking for further expansion in cement based products. This is an exciting story with many chapters to come...GLA

I may be missing something, but the FY results show a NAV of 242p. Unless these have significantly dropped in value, and at a p/e of 7.4 x , this looks extremely cheap. Views

There is a lot of confidence in that disposing 14 batching plants will placate the CMA. (14 out of 211 RMX and mortar plants is not a lot!). BREE directors are confident of this, so it must be based on fact such as the CMA guidance of what they need to dispose of to avoid Phase 2 investigation. I do not see a problem here as most of the areas are geographically new to BREE.

At a p/e of 7 this is looking cheap! I expect a bounce.

After attending today, I fully see why BREE is acquiring Hope. Look at the geographical distribution of Hope, and it fills in virtually all areas that BREE do not cover - all they have to do is acquire quarries near the batching plants and coverage of the UK is massively enhanced. Also, transporting aggregates from the quarries to the plants by rail looks very exciting, and again, will allow greater expansion further from the quarries - exciting future for all!

Late Tuesday, Barclays undertook an accelerated book build to place stock which may have been from Flemings. I think RNS shareholding notification is only when a threshold 5-10% etc has been reached not when it is sold.

I don't think there will be anything on RNS as the shares were sold off by 1 holder to many smaller holders, so no disclosure of holdings requirement. I think this has been over-sold, so I bought in ay 220p only to see them drop this afternoon! Another day, another opportunity, but ex-div tomorrow so we will see the effect. GLA

A holder of 5% isc sold by placing with a broker at 215p - all taken up and it was over-subscribed. This has upset the price today ahead of ex div tomorrow. Think it will come back though.

I feel that this is reaching an equilibrium, and my guess it will stabilise at 100p-110p. However, this is a guess and if an institution is keen to pick this up, then the price could rise further. Interesting to see more sales than purchases for a change. GLA

Only luck - I still have 10k shares so hurt a bit sill. I am not convinced that this will not go higher again, but it could be a casino be!
