I wrote this here back on 17th January.
........ ....... ........ .......
Been in here for years bought at 12p all the way down to 2p and now with almost 6 figures and an average of 11p ........ and wondering why i didn’t sell at 40p (what more did i want - my average then was only 6.06p).
....... ........ . ............ ......... ........
Just over a month later and now we’ll into 6 figures and an average of 18p and .............. not sold any yet. Back in January i was kicking myself for not selling at 40 ......... but (again) and for good reason, FOMO is real with OMI.
Sold a third of my SOLG (held for 7 years) and put profits in here 2 weeks back.
I say to my wife every Sunday night....... “i think THIS week is going to be a good week for OMI”
We just had a cracking week - but i believe the best is yet to come.

Wow Shrewed-Mole.
That was a full circular panic attack there.
Starts with you being honest and listing what worries YOU.
Quickly turns into “now WE are all talking about....... fraud and missing shares”
Nope.
Perhaps Timorous-Beastie would be a better name
But that is a lovely whisky And a great Robert Burns poem so .......... maybe...
Scared-Mouse will have to do

I know some people don’t like the idea of a daily / weekly post limit.
But......
Perhaps a restriction on new members, (maybe a max of 10 a day for say 1 month introductory period) might make it harder for this Cave Dweller to create a new I.D and behave worse than “the big orange baby” the USA just got rid of.
I fear If LSE don’t find a way to fix this - it may go the way of the once great iii chat room - and / or everyone moves to Telegraph.

CD.
Your description defines exactly the company I THOUGHT I had invested in 6 years ago.
I suspect it is the same for Cornerstone.
Warren Irwin’s comment in a recent interview questioning why explorers would be an attractive proposition - if they never get bought out speaks volumes. Think he was meaning “never sell”.
Cornerstone (like me) invested in a company which HAD the description you state - and then decided to continue instead of selling as they find to fund further exploration and ...... repeat.
going to be an interesting few months

Hoping for a steady rise through this week.
Our time is now - Hoping for a nice solid rise in antici....................pation of drilling results.
Been in here for years bought at 12p all the way down to 2p and now with almost 6 figures and an average of 11p ........ and wondering why i didn’t sell at 40p (what more did i want - my average then was only 6.06p).
‘mon the Omi - best prospects for a multi-bagger by a country mile.

Maybe time for a 5 or 10 post a day limit.
Could kill make This bozo and quite a few problem posters think before they reply.

just my musings.
We have no way to tell if he is being pushed.
I wouldn’t be surprised if NM negotiates for the best deal he can get (for all shareholders) and if that is conditional on him stepping aside - he will do so. All part of the long game.
We have all talked about his age and who could blame him for stepping away from something that could be hostile and bitter for several years.
If SOLG come out with “a good story” around this news (assuming it is true) this could be very good for all.
Long time since i was in a share where “being out or in @ a weekend” actually mattered.

NM always uses phrases like “best interests of ALL shareholders” (my emphasis).
The voting looks to me like 3 shareholders, albeit with large holdings don’t like his tactics (which i will paraphrase as “lots more money in a bid - if we wait a while yet”. I believe the big 3 voted more in line with what their individual Companies shareholders would want - and NOT what would be best for them as SOLG shareholders.
An attempt to steal SOLG on the cheap. Recognising that NM is the figurehead preventing such - they tried to get rid of him.
I don’t think this now means we are heading for production - but if no suitable bid emerges along that road (unlikely......IMHO) - then we might end up there.
SOLG do need to reward loyalty now with vastly improved communication, regular drill updates and ........... FFS stop missing deadlines.
Saturday musings all IMHO

Perhaps fishing is a tiny part of our economy “today” because we allow so many EU boats to catch their own fish in our waters. If we stop this, land the fish ourself - then sell it to EU countries perhaps fishing will become a larger part of our economy again.
offshore and then onshore processing and dispatch.
We did this for hundreds of years before EU

Wasted an hour tonight reading this mince.
And we wonder why they frequently shut us down.
If you are reading this in the morning ShawaddyQuady will have gone and you will be wondering what this post is about.
But seriously - it was a “pure dead funny zinger” after a good single malt(s)
Honest.

Nice wee rise today +17.88%
Hope it is the start of a steady return to previous highs as people realise this is a well run, profitable business selling “stuff” people want.
What’s not to like.
My small holding from April is looking a better colour today.
But they do need to get those hot chicken strips rolled out into more stores.
Have only found them in the new Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow branch - and not since 1st lockdown.

Like many on here I have had the 15th October circled in my diary for months.
I would have bet £1,000's that SOLG would reach new heights every day this week and yet............. the recent strong rise has stalled.
Meanwhile my 2 year horror story of OMI has gone up to multi bag with daily 30% rises for weeks now.
It was stuck for over a year down at 2p and is now 43p - having overtaken SOLG price (who would have ever guessed that?)
What I am enjoying at OMI from a 6p average should have happened to my 13p SOLG average - but the funny thing is I am viewing my OMI riches as "icing on the cake" as the real show (IMHO) will be SOLG.
Maybe not this week.
Maybe not next week
But some day, soon, and it will be long and strong
Not ramping OMI or gloating - simply posting to remind people that our day at SOLG will come and sometimes holding and being patient - wins the day.

But OMI is helping with the Whisky Budget
Good evening “ Lost again“
reference your post early this morning on selling 100,000 shares at 39p.
i have around 250 posts still to read since then - but want to say.
well played sir.
i travel all over the uk bringing architecture to the masses (Ofter called missionary work when in Southern Scotland - AKA “ England”)
next time i am in Southampton - i may look you up and ask for a lift from the station in your Bentley.

I think some on here need to “put the whisky down” and go to bed.
Or ....... have i maybe had 8 too many Scallywag 12 year olds tonight and just missing the vibe?

I had forgotten how much fun it is to wake up to some “drilling porn”.
You can feel the excitement in the language used.

Quady.
You deny saying we need volume to improve the SP and yet ........... 24 minutes later you type....
"We need volume, as with volume, that means people are looking at us, wherever they trade or take a long term position."
Hhhmmmmm.
Come on man it's only a laugh this shares lark.
Did they remove your sense of humor when they took away your "IMHO" button...?
IMHO

So Quady thinks we need more volume to move the SP.
He kept that quiet.
You would think with 500 posts a month he might have told the rest of us.

Scotland has always “led the way” in renewable energy.
Wind and tidal projects have delivered several 100% “electricity by renewable only“ days.
Nice to see my City of Glasgow jumping in early with Hydrogen.
I have been buying ITM for the past 4 months and will continue - hopefully while the price goes in the right direction........!

Looks like an admin error (or Canadian OCD) compliance dudes on Steroids.
I see it as all positive (don’t see why we would get knocked back to MRE2 values). MRE3 is real - just not lodged with the Canadians with all the t’s crossed.
And i read this as Canadian doc will be uploaded by end December - does not mention PFS being then as well. Is there not usually a lag between PFS / MRE update and the Canadian compliance update. (insert your own joke about French translation in here).
Lastly through my rose tinted and very biased glasses - i think the final paragraph mentions a Shed load of upgraded Gold, copper and silver which is in addition to MRE 3 and will be in the PFS. plus improved recovery grades and commodity prices.
I might have this all wrong - but if i am reading this last paragraph correctly this is GREAT NEWS with the first hints about PFS upgrade from MRE3.

The original BB messiah. I heard he went around at the AGM’s introducing himself as ........ “you probably know who i am”.
Turned out he wasn’t the Messiah - just a very naughty boy.
I recall Dreamcatchers story well - think his son turned up trying to rescue something from his fathers legacy.
What i took away from GKP was “city watchdogs” are no good - we need City action dogs”
