GLA..I'm away for the next six days...
And all the people said ....... “amen”. !
The RNS contains this paragraph.
I strongly believe that it is in interests of all Shareholders for the Board to be comprised of directors with a cross-section of views and skills who can collaborate to ensure that the interests of all Shareholders, large and small, are represented and looked after at the Board level and not just the interests of certain large and vocal shareholders seeking undue influence at the expense of a control premium you should enjoy.
Me again.
I read the tone of the full Release (especially the bit above) to confirm that - the actions of the Board announced today are ...... a defence against “large shareholders” who are trying to get a deal that favours THEM more than small shareholders.
As a small shareholder - i like that Twigger, and “the majority” of the Board want to say “no” to BHP’s tactics - I also read this as saying that NM and others (not getting voted off) is key / crucial to STOP BHP. And ensure best value / result for “ small shareholders”
I don’t agree with RK1 spin that NM is in league with BHP and being offered a BHP board seat to help them. I think it is the exact opposite.
Then again i have only 50 odd posts to my name so could be miles off - but other than overpromising and going slooooooooooow - NM got us this far.

Why do they call you Killjoy, Killjoy..?
SOLG
“coming back stronger than a powered up Pac-Man”
Name that tune anyone..?
This makes a nice change to end a long wet week in Glasgow - where we have been invaded by crusty Eco dudes and even we Greetin’ Greta.
Still climbing.
Now up 6.59% at 27.5 and ................ the 5Day has turned green.
Think I will talk about the 1 Month now - fingers crossed.
Skint
The ones I can see are all small and all "A" trades.
But edging upwards
Google currently has us up 5.43% at 27.15...........!
Daily chart looks very happy with itself.
Just don't click on the 5 day chart as it shows we were higher than this just 5 days ago ....same with the 1 month and the .......... we know the rest.
But today looks like something is maybe brewing (maybe)

To my untrained but relatively long in the tooth SOLG eye the most revealing thing about this TAM MR - RNs is that SOLG we’re willing to issue it (and draw a line) after only 18 holes.
It would have been all too easy to simply push this Maiden Resource back until they had the results of the next 1,2......7.......10 drills. But they decided to “get it out there” with the hint of more to come.
I like that.
just a pity it all got a bit lost with the “i know things you don’t and talk to people ordinary share holders don’t have access to” Boaby wavers we have had to endure this week.
see ............ Glasgow slang is good at getting past filters.

In the good old days of the iii boards (long sigh) - you were able to filter threads to only see posts with 5 or 10 or more ticks (recommendations).
Every day i think how useful that would be to sort out the 300 odd posts each day on here.

sorry to but in but ....... we are now 10.63pc up and climbing vertically.
17.70 being paid.
and not even a bank holiday in sunny Scotland.
So many companies searching for a cure for “long Covid”
Quite a few trolls on here need a cure for “long stupid”
Long and strong - and another from Scotland.

YESTERDAY .............. Wouldn’t want to have been out yesterday.
I have held OMI for over 5 years. First purchase at 10p then 12p and held (and bought more) all the way down to 2p. OMI remains my biggest holding. In 2021 i started selling SOLG (having lost some faith after all the CEO ousting shenanigans in January) - and bought even more OMI in the low 20,s. SOLG still my no2 and has recovered well since Easter. (making me doubt my OMI wisdom even more - as OMI continued to slide.
I recall posting late 2020 around 38p saying how i regretted not selling last time it headed for 40 - and asking if 40 would prove tough second time round.
Had i known then it would slide to 13p .........!!!!
In recent weeks i have seriously thought of selling and buying back in when / if it reached 10p - and THIS MORNING ........the clouds of doubt parted.
Glad i wasn’t out last night.
Average is still 13p (hence my squeaky bum thoughts).
And new purchases mean “cash equivalent of the old 40p is now 31p.........”
What a roller coaster of a share.
No reason or wisdom to this post - just a LTH (seldom poster) “chewing the fat” and drinking a quadruple Laphroaig to celebrate.

pretty dull RNS
I think someone in SOLG towers was testing to see if the “after hours”RNS button still worked.
Good to know it does.
Now tell us something good like - “suspended due to hostile bid. “
That would loosen a few bowels.

Whisky is an excellent asset to invest in.
I think the average cask increases in value double digit pc PA and the indexes suggest c 580pc increase in last 10 years.
Not bad for something that is mostly water and costs very little to produce (excluding the Cap Ex to build the distillery and the skills required to create). Then you let it sleep for years and watch the value increase to a point where single aged casks can be worth 10’s of thousands.
If only those pesky Angels didn’t drink 10pc of it - while it is in cask.
Imagine how many other businesses would love an annual stocktake where your stock increases in value over time and has to be written “up” in the books. So even if sold through SYME on day 1 for £xxxx the fees charged would be dwarfed by the increase in stock value when you sell it (or bottle it up) in 10 or 20 years time. And the money raised has been reinvested in making more - and repeat.
Could be a real game changer.

Most of us would agree that alcohol is already perfect - but it would be a good fit for SYME funding.
Scotch Whisky has been on a roll for many years but the SWA rules stipulate new spirit has to be kept in a cask for 3 years + 1 day (or it cannot be called Scotch).
The plethora of new scotch whisky distilleries have to wait a minimum of 3 years for any revenue - and that would be NAS (no age statement) or used in blends. the “big money” takes anything from 10; 12, 18 years to bottle and sell.
While they all try to have Gin bottling brands (distill today and sell tomorrow) and income from visitors and cafes - the SYME model could be a lifeline for the many new Distilleries struggling through USA tariff wars, then Brexit and then Covid troubles. But even the big well funded players would like income / sales 18 years early.
I am sure SYME could have a Sharia fund and a normal fund if the Arab world cares.

Good to see so much info and all delivered in a very low key manner.
A while back SOLG might have used some big adjectives to “big this up”. Today they sound far more business like.
To my untrained Geological eye - this does read like a sales brochure intended for a new JV / funder audience. Notes on the plans with words along the lines of “we are gonna stick a drill in here” and “this bit looks interesting” made me laugh.
Hopefully the market likes this update.
skint.
People invest “early doors” in exploration companies for THE SALE event.
“They were supposed to “Blow the Bl**dy doors off” by now.
If i had wanted a safe 10 year slow burner - i would have invested in RIO or BHP or ........ etc
might just be the Jura single malt talking tonight (and keeping me honest)

Starbright calling people out for ramping when the price rose from 28 to 38 in a week and yet last night he posted this.
——- ———- —————-
SP got over-heated on unrealistic expectations and associated ramping, but then corrected. Good value now below 30p. HTH.
————- ———- ———. ————
so while happy to accuse others (for the rise last week) his advice last night suggests buying below 30 - will be a bargain soon.
Hmmmmmmmm.
Me thinks he doth protest too much.

Well spotted........ it was 32p
Sorry
Hmmmmmmm .
I expected 40p to put up a good fight - but didn’t expect the share price to go down like the Black Knight from Monty Python.
Oh well.............. - ‘tis but a scratch.
Had a wee top up today at 21p that I was not expecting but was always happy to hold these for long term - and the RNS this morning is another strong step in the right direction.
Long and strong
