As predicted, MNG has crashed thru the 190p support level. Charts look very bearish now. Time to start thinking about the 150p level.

UK defence sales to the EU are minuscule, and that ain't changing any time soon. Europe is going to buy German, French and American kit, with a token bit thrown in from Italy, Sweden and Spain. Go look at the Rheinmetall (Germany) share price -- it's up +2,000% in anticipation of mega Euro sales. BAE is only up +200% in the same 5-year timeframe. The market is clearly not expecting big exports of UK kit on the horizon. It's expecting big exports of German stuff.

It's important to stay calm and not get swept up in the exaggerated hysteria. Trump's US tariffs are only going to cost the UK about £6b, spread out across a year of trade. Meanwhile, Labour's vast tax raid alone is costing everyone £40b from this month, in one go. Our own UK "policies" are 7 times worse than what Trump is enacting here. So, stay calm, and try not to get swept up in Trump mania 👍

UK arms exports have cratered to just a tiny 3% market share worldwide in 2024. Almost no major European countries are buying UK military kit today in 2025. The EU states are buying mostly from the US, France and Germany. The idea that the EU is suddenly going to start buying big orders of UK kit is fantasy.

The HFEL share price today in 2025 is now lower than the starting price back in 2006, nearly a fifth of a century ago!

Err, China's foreign direct investment (FDI) has collapsed -99%, effectively to zero, while the US has received $6T of FDI and domestic investment just in the past few weeks alone! China investment is plunging down. US investment is soaring up. You can see the clear and strong direction of travel 👍

Was reading just last week about a UK restaurant company that is switching its focus from UK and EU to the US for 2025, because the profit opportunities are so enormous. A big family restaurant in Manchester (UK) might make £500k profit in a good year. A big family restaurant in Dallas or Atlanta will make £5m profit year after year. The US is a giant magnet for wealth. And that's why Trump's economic plan will almost certainly succeed. The US is simply too big to ignore.

Tend to agree. The UK today is a rule-taker, not a rule-maker. Look at Brexit -- we have the democratic mandate to make our own rules, but buckled under EU pressure and continue to take EU rules. There's no way we can tell China what to do on trade.

If the EU does pool military purchases, it's unlikely to benefit the UK much. The majority will no doubt end up in Germany, with the leftover crumbs picked up by France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Slovenia and UK. Germany will just repurpose their (shrinking) car factories for tanks, drones and guns.

The US tariffs are about two things...

1. Rebalance International trade

2. Cut debt

The US is $36T in the debt hole, and hurtling toward national bankruptcy.

The DOGE cuts reduce state spending, the Golden Visa scheme increases state revenue, and the tariffs increase state revenue.

More income, less debt.

Simples.

Once the tariffs are embedded in, Trump will then cut taxes, to offset any tariff inflation.

Make foreigners pay off the bulk of US state debt.

Give Americans some of their money back.

It's a very clever plan 👍

Now the dust has settled, its fair to say today's stockmarket falls are relatively modest. Compared with the 10-15% one-day falls seen after Covid 2020, Brexit 2016 and the GFC 2008, Liberation Day's 1-3% slippage (so far) looks much like a storm in a teacup.

It's comical watching Starmer. Two years ago, he was throwing playground insults at Trump like a petulant baby. Now, Starmer is reduced to begging Trump for a trade deal while grovelling to Washington like a needy child. It's comical.

As predicted, ANIC is being dragged down by the cratering US stockmarkets and the US tariff hysteria. You can't buck the US markets. Charts here look very bearish again. Wouldn't be surprised to see ANIC back under 5p in the coming weeks.

Quite why a company with a tiny £0.4m of annual profit is blowing £0.3m a year on an AIM listing is unfathomable. In the past decade, they've blown millions on a stockmarket listing, and seen their stock price crater an astonishing -90%. It's a disaster.

At the end of the day, that "dirty 30" board shown by Trump is extremely compelling. It clearly shows 30+ countries over-tariffing the US. Trump is right to address it. You can't have a situation where Japan is charging you a +700% tax on rice. Where China bans Facebook, Insta, Twitter and every other US social media, while TikTok is allowed wholly free access to the US. The world see-saw needs a rebalance, good luck to America.

Vietnam has dropped all US tariffs! Trump 2-0 up.

Really, Fiinu should delist from London, and relist in NY. London investors, funds and analysts are neither rich nor sophisticated nor tech-savvy nor optimistic enough to give this stock the financial boost it needs. You list an AI fintech bank in NY, and it'll be a billion-dollar valuation in a flash. Not languishing among the miserable penny stocks at a puny 20 million.

That's just wishful thinking. Pseudo-intellectual hope over hard market reality. And the hard market reality is that the US is 60-70% of all stockmarket value on the entire planet, the FDA is the world's no.1 food-regulator bar none, and the dollar is the world's no.1 currency for international food (and food-lab-related) transactions. There is absolutely no way on Earth that a tiny London stock on the tiny London Stock Exchange is going to withstand or swerve those hard market forces. If the US or RFK bans or restricts lab or fermented meat, regardless if US exposure, ANIC will tank.

Problem is, the UK dances to the US tune. Where the US goes, the UK (and rest of world) always follows. Never the other way round. The UK never decouples from America. We are the 51st state. Perceived or real, the US really is the no.1 challenge for ANIC, and they do need to spell out where (exactly) the risk is or is not.

The shareprice is catering. Down nearly -15% in just a fortnight. It has wiped out 1.5 years of dividends in 2 weeks. Shareprice is back to 2020 levels, effectively wiping out half a decade of growth. The close below 200p this week is a bearish sign. Looks ready on the charts to test the 190p and 170p support levels as a next stop.
