Seems an awful lot, for ease let's say 50m of the c.68m population can be included in this sort of testing. 50m tests a week for a year is 2.5bn a year, just for UK.

For whomever owns said tests being used (will be multiple companies for that figure, of course), if an average price of £10 is used at a 35% slice of pie for the creator.. £8.75bn up for grabs a year. Just in UK for the solitary year, UK makes up just 0.8% of the the world population.

Some market to be up there with the best tests for.

Also, irrelevant to said boring S/S jargon but having a relationship with Mologic cannot be underestimated. My better half works with Wellcome Trust at a certain capacity and they are quite amazing in their works, certainly not a small entity to say the least. They tie in with a lot of Mologic's work as do the Gates Foundation. It's quite astounding the work they both do, a lot of which isn't publicised.

EVD (Ebola) tests harnessing the greatness of Affimers sounds a potentially viable option for when they are to , if we are to start to run a longer-term relationship with Mologic &/or GF.

Aside from the SP-willing gluttonous side of myself, it's very exciting what our tech can potentially do. Great to see it taking the big BioTech fishes eyes, now.

AVCT RNS - 16th Feb "This indicates a clinical sensitivity of 96.7% for samples with a Ct value below 26. Importantly, out of a total of 26 negative samples tested with the lateral flow device, the test correctly identified all 26 as negative, giving a clinical specificity of 100%. "

65% - 89% sensitivity up against our much superior 96.7% (dependant on clinical but hopefully around this number). It essentially puts our LFD into a different ballpark, what use is a near flip-coin scenario for pub/club door testing if unable to pick up asymptomatic cases efficiently? One would hope if they had said symptoms they wouldn't be out and about (too much faith in the actions of average Joe, perhaps..?).

Also if 65-89% is descripted as 'good', going to need the dictionary out to describe what AVCT lock-in. Outstanding, perhaps?

Let's hope we can replicate both s/s, to advertise globally the sheer harnessing power of the Affimer and quality of our test. Easy to see why manufacturers will start to dedicate space to this test over others.

2m per week will just about touch the edges in regard to demand, I think we'll be surprised at the extra capacity they will be creating. If not, well we have Medusa's aim of 50m p/w to utilise.. if they meet that for us to solely use, and we utilise let's say 8m p/w Gov capacity (on basis they find 4m p/w elsewhere).

82m LFD a week, average the cost out at £12.50 per test (likely ~£7 the Gov are wanting to pay) and a little higher for what Medusa will charge (£15-£20 at a guess based on a look at their current prices). If we take a slice of 35% of that, £360m a week. Over £1.4B a month. Not necessarily going to be near these and it may be a lesser slice if Mologic or a/n other take their part; but shows the sheer potential we have. I'm not near touching the global capacity if we are assuming Medusa keep it to UK (as their manufacturing will be based).

I honestly think if there was unlimited amount of LFD tests, the UK (and world) could/would go through a test a day per person, why would they not? As AS has iterated, and we know, it's down to manufacturing capacities.

By my readings of the relevant RNS it seems likely for s/s data confirmed & CE mark verified to be announced at the same time. My little brain is struggling to comprehend the potential financial figures that could roll in off the back of this.

Hi tsales, may be worth letting JP Morgan know that the boat has sailed for AVCT and all opportunity is gone as Aptamer are entering clinical trials!! Maybe give them a call to advise them to sell out of their newly upped position? They'll be hugely grateful that they missed this during their DD.

Ten trading days or less, have comfort in knowing there's going to be a sea of buys at whatever the price is when this news is imminent. A small retrace after a huge climb is healthy. It's just the psychology of seeing a) red and b) negativity spread makes you doubt your share acquisition - need not, we're a few days away from transformational news flow commencing.

Sangijuelas, likely the price I agree. If they were an employee from day-dot, pre-listing, then the template options agreement would likely be a very low amount (i.e. 0.001p per share is my current agreement for my company) to view positively.

They have a right to exercise their options to buy, price could be any given amount even as low as £0.0001 per share.

Exercising now will release to them the physical shares at some point in the near future. Assume taxation benefit and also near-term news benefit; if they get the physical shares and catch any transformational news they can sell some, or all, if desired. For what may be a life changing amount of money for them!

Limitation is the devil in the case of a nearing limitless global market opportunity. We are not, as such, bound by our manufacturing capabilities; our biggest boundary is how many LFD's can global manufacturers make for us? The 'unknown factor' in our case in regards to quantity is a huge positive, as this figure will only go North as more Governments, companies, manufacturers etc. enquire for a slice of a very versatile, very accurate and relatively cheap (given its selling points) LFD.

Not to serve as a de-ramp to ODX in any way, but in trying to understand the market this morning: they have a figure now (which is only going to increase and not decrease in the future, one would imagine) but it is, nonetheless, a figure which depicts their capability for manufacturing LFD's at this moment in time. A price has been put onto this. In AVCT's case no such figure can be painted, at least not currently, the SP is starting to reflect what's happening now and it will continue as such for a little while IMO. Investors are seeing much less risk and much more reward from every drop of news we see - we are now even seeing it in other companies RNS'!

It's quite astonishing the blue-sky potential we are seeing, not only in financials but in future-proofing our position in the BioTech sphere, potentially entire infrastructure being built to support us, in collaborative's..

This is also just one string of over a dozen large-scale opportunities at AVCT. Transformative.

Thank you all. Energy, it was actually a post of yours that took my eye enough to etch myself into the LSE user list, I have a very similar thought process r.e. S/S & CE.

All IMO - S/S is likely done, or at the very least the figures are all but confirmed and the 'big' RNS looks to be combining confirmation of both S/S & CE mark to open the gates to commercial/manufacturing specifics. We may be looking to go directly with our own CE Marking - with Mologic's there as back-up. Were we to mis-jump one hurdle in our own CE audit, the RNS we would need to lodge would be SP suicide - we currently have a fantastic safety net in place.

I'm astounded at the stubbornness for those willing to keep an eye on AVCT but actively shoot it down and wish it unwell, emotion is a funny thing, eh? AVCT are tied up with some huge whales in the BioTech ocean and have only recently hit the radar, some look back at the Q2-Q4 as a bit of a treacherous time to be a holder but it perversely is the most important catapult in AVCT's future. Huge strides.

I certainly wouldn't go to a board to try incite fear into holders nor defend such actions of someone doing so; not without at least a valid point of concern. I have held AVCT for just shy of a year and they'll need to be torn from me to not be holding for at least 5 more.

The UK Gov won't entertain them because they have an undesired collection method. They are validated solely for posterior nasopharyngeal. Also you will need a healthcare professional to carry out such a test. Try harder please.
