True nothing concrete and LC always refers to 300MW as thats whats been announced but enough there to draw a pretty robust conclusion.

Bit of advanced warning would help ... only had £500 this time to take advantage I'm still of the opinion that it will be 300mw as a starter but with at least a firm commitment to move to a larger plant size ... that has allowed Sepco and others to perhaps sharpen their pencils ... totally open to a larger plant initially but there will be a focus to get power on stream asap and if that can be done quicker at 300mw with more to follow then I would have thought thats the preferred option. We shall see one day, shortly, imminently, tomorrow and perhaps just perhaps never

If the SML gets to Cabinet for approval then its a rubber stamp job. Both the applicant and authorities have a vested interest in making sure they get every detail right (and that's whats taking the time). Personally, it would be nice to have the licence in hand but conclusion of the PPA is of greater significance.

The meeting with the Minister also gave Peak the opportunity to gain clarity on the requirement to use an indigenous Tanzanian bank as set out in The Mining (Local Content) Regulations, 2018. The Minister confirmed that it will be acceptable for companies to use locally registered banks, not just indigenous Tanzanian banks, and that the Ministry was in the process of amending this requirement. This amendment is welcomed by the Company and will allow for easier access to the international financial institutions for project funding. The move is also representative of the government’s willingness to listen and to work with mining companies to encourage investment. Back up what LC was saying last week at the KAT AGM
