Alliance business news this morning.....In London, BT shares fell 5.2% in early trade. According to a regulatory filing from Monday, Morgan Stanley no longer has a stake in the telecommunications firm as of Thursday. It had a 5.0% holding previously, the filing stated.....off loaded to somebody so RNS incomming soon?

My limit order triggered this morning at £4.96 , didn't want to pay more than 5 quid so took a while to happen. Dividend yield 7.1% so not bad but not as good as some other shares I hold but Divi looks well covered here and have cash on sideline to double down if SP hits closer to 4 quid which always a possibility...Hold now for Divis and SP rise back to 6 quid all being well..GLA.

Thanks for the info! If the Halifax and (others) were more forthcoming with info about what's happens next they would save a lot of effort responding to phone calls and emails asking the question.

Anybody know if Ingenuity shares can stay in Halifax isa till I want to sell then transfer into Escrow when am ready ? or do they have to be transferred in now and left sitting in Escrow account for the day I may want to sell through a JP Jenkins preferred broker . I phoned in today but the chap on the phone didn't manage to convince me and had nothing on paper to post out to me.

Maybe too late already if you have submitted self assessment but losses on stock/ shares Isa cant be used to offset gains elsewhere , only losses from normal share dealing account can be used.

Hello Jam4u I received my Dividend with the Halifax yesterday afternoon but still no sign of takeover cash payment or GTE shares but some other former I3E holders on their forum advise they have received bits and pieces from other brokers over the last few days.

Had a look this morning on Halifax and cant see Jack...no shares no cash payment and no dividend!!

Who knows where it will go ? Am out with a £2.50p per share profit mainly thanks to China Stimulus and Takeover rumours plus todays increase after results so am happy to dip out as I think it could go either way from this point with out a firm bid because sales are static .

Morning Tony , you may be correct and it will be interesting to see how it pans out . It would be wise of GTE to factor in their SP movement affecting the likelihood of going all cash and having enough to cover it but if they cant it will go back to default option so its win win for them.

My Limit order triggered this morning at around £5.85p as I have been waiting for a price under 6 quid for a couple of months, I could see that Shorts had decreased from 6.1% to around 3.1% around a week ago and thought the SP maybe near its lows but obviously still scope to go down a little more but I intend to buy 2 more tranches then sit it out waiting for slow recovery starting in 6 months or so or a take over approach to come in . I was in Superdry at £1 and saw them increase to £5 before tumbling to zero so am aware of the risks here.GLA.

At 30% he would be forced to make a bid for the rest so hes a long way off that but any increase he makes will generally help the Share price going forward as it has done since 8.55am announcement this morning

Looks like Slim has increased by 1.15% which is around £140 Million in value.

I agree with all your points Tony bar hanging on for a counter offer and it would have been nice to see the company prosper and possibly get taken out at a much higher price but I have a healthy distrust for AIM boards that sound out each other and major shareholders over a period of months before lowball offer comes in. I realise that low Gas/Oil prices haven't helped but being under a safe jurisdiction of Canada and almost out of the North sea and with a safe Dividend the SP should have been closer to 19p than the 9p its been flowing around at recently so I believe it's been forced lower to accommodate this bid...I will hold to take this offer or see if unlikely counter offer arrives. Hello Tony , I replied to a post you made around 18 months ago were I mentioned that how odd!! it was for a SP to be run down over a long period to allow a low ball offer to come in and be accepted by the board. Happens time and again and with i3e at least I will still be in the money with a low average and a top slice at 31p. The deal looks agreed so I will take it reluctantly ..GL all.

I started at BT in 1987 as an engineer in the Liverpool area and know as a business we always carried a significant debt since Privatisation, at the moment its 19 Billion that's a big deterrent to any low ball offer coming in from Draghi or anybody else but as the SP rises management can chip away at it and the Pension deficit also but not until the SP recovers to 3 quid at least. I took voluntary redundancy last month and now await a slow but steady rise in BT fortunes subject to no Stock market meltdown in the next few years. GL all

Only Section A and B members which closed in 1987 will get that CPI equivalent rate , from 1987 to 2019 its Section C members who receive annual RPI rate but capped at 5% . From 2019 BT offloaded to Standard Life for new staff from that date.
