Q1..... 2021 to me is anytime from the beginning of April to the end of June 2021 so if its tales 2 months to do Legals to pay out Divi the BOD can announce that fact up to the the end of April and still pay out in Q1 cant they ?
Yes too good an opportunity not to sell some , I have sold 40% at 40p after paying under 20p so it's a free ride on remaining 60% as I think Lookers can recover from this shambles but hedged me bet here
I3e Board and Management are looking forward to creating near-term shareholder value. i3 has committed to becoming a dividend payer and will adopt an appropriate hedging program to mitigate commodity price risk. Under current market conditions, residual free cash flow above the dividend will likely be redeployed to acquire additional developed producing reserves or to exploit the best production adding opportunities within the Canadian portfolio in order to replace natural decline and increase production levels. When markets and commodity prices improve and acquisition multiples become unattractive, i3 will focus on unlocking the material value held in its acquired proven undeveloped (PUD) and 2P inventory, which management believes has the capacity to more than double current production Fresh production will be hedged in these strengthening markets to secure future cash flow or, alternatively, the Company may monetize new production so that it returns additional value to shareholders. ....The ability to tap existing closed out wells already on their acreage tells me that a further new acquisition may not be needed to achieve extra 5k ..may cost more on average to lift this extra oil as less economical but still hit 15k per day..
GGG , all the things you mentioned in your post are possibilities and I hope they happen in time but not declaring a Dividend would be a blow for morale and the share price as it's the first deliverable action that they have promised . Paying out the Div of course could be the springboard for 2021.
Am out today at average of 105p , a profit of 70p per share so am happy with that as I have my eye on another Stock and this will fund it. GL to all holders I hope it continues its recovery
Trade union liability
The law lays down the circumstances in which a trade union is to be held
responsible for a relevant act (such as inducing, or threatening to induce, a
breach, or interference with the performance, of a contract). Where these
circumstances apply, a union will be held responsible for a relevant act
regardless of any term or condition to the contrary in its own rules, or in any
other contractual provision or rule of law.
Under the law, a union will be liable for any relevant act which is done (or
authorised or endorsed ....BT management are trying to water down contracts agreed with the CWU 18 months ago so the above can be applied to BT management aswell . News today that Openreach intend to take thousands more staff on to cover new Fibre work and some to work on copper that maybe around for a few more years yet so plenty of work to be done.
Thanks G G G for your estimates on possible different outcomes as it's always good to see somebody elses view , still a lot of maybes to ponder on but lucky for me iam a patient man and in the meantime iam seeing the benefit of buying other companies in April/May and I can leave i3e on the back burner to see what develops in 2021 . All holders here am sure are aware of the possibillies if this BOD do the right thing but like you I have a healthy distrust of AIM boards who are unaccountable when things go wrong.
LONDON (Reuters) - BT Chief Executive Philip Jansen is "open minded" about the possibility of selling a stake in the British company's Openreach infrastructure unit once there is full clarity on the regulation of fibre networks next year, he said on Wednesday.
"We feel - I feel - that really BT is undervalued for the kind of business that we are and the assets that we have," he told Morgan Stanley's Technology, Media and Telecom conference.
Part of an article I was reading yesterday suggests something in the pipeline next spring after Ofcom agreement on revenues from FTTP, I think DT would be more interested in part ownership of OR than taking over BT as a whole not that the Government would allow it to happen.
Within the next 6 to 12 months i3e need to buy another cheap Canadian outfit and hopefully get output to 15k + per day funded possible by a loan against that income, we may get good news on North Sea asset soon but even so maybe no revenue till summer 2022 from that area. Looking good tho just hope this BOD get the job done!!
It was only 18 months ago that Senior management and the CWU agreed on 2 Years pay for compulsory redundancies along with the annual wage increase, do the Management think that Staff will be happy with this constant watering down of terms and conditions every couple of years? Shows how poor BT management is at negotiating at all levels and explains poor SP performance for its investors
Confirmed good news this morning but at the moment exceptional news is required to move a share up ! At least we are going in the right direction now and should have some revenues coming in soon, I am also invested in Trinity Oil who have been producing 3 k barrels a day and see no uplift in their SP and so am expecting I3E to be similar for a while until they provide good figures from Canada and farm out in NS.
Yes it is but nobody enjoys getting taken out for a pittance , I am assuming that the 2 Boards involved are confident of a Yes vote to progress the deal or they wouldn't have bothered would they??
Openreach now taking 15k orders for FTTP per week which at this level is around 720k per year . It may get like a snowball and increase of course but no garantees. It will take a while me thinks to complete 20M plus end users but by end 2025 maybe over 10 Million will have it as many will be happy with FTTC..maybe around this time they can think about massive staff reductions
Am happy to take just over £2 per share profit on these, I think this takeover will go through but I also hold AA who had 3 bidders up to last week and when one dropped out the SP tanked big time so I will take my profits and not get too upset if the good ship WH fies even better from here.
Not renewing contract to supply DC with mobile comms after 20 years, may affect SP mondaymorning?
Isn't this a good opportunity for BT to buy some of their own shares back, they used to do this regularly and called them Treasury Shares. They can buy a Billion worth with the half of the Dividends saving!! and sit on them a while.
Whatever the combined debt adds up to is debatable Toff and will be added onto buy in price if the Government ever allowed a Sale. Fortunately i have no debts to worry about but understand why most companies carry the burden to ward off any opportunistic takeover bids.
Any serious take over bid needs to include around 17 Billion to pay off debt and several Billion injection into Pension so that's around 20 Billion on top of buying BT equity at Fridays value of 10 Billion = 30 Billion plus takeover premiums of around 30% on equity = 33Billion, still very cheap but a non starter as BT as a whole not for sale
The only question is when not if the US markets tank and it will surely take the Ftse with it but that's the risk/reward getting in over the last few months. As for BT they are completely unloved at the moment but I will nibble again if they go under a quid hopefully with profit from AA who are another outfit with good heritage and massive debts similar to BT
Zico has a BT employee you should be taking advantage of the Direct share and Share options that they provide which gives you a discount to buying on the open market and in the case of Share options the choice of taking back your cash if the shares go under the option price . I assume your purchase today is an extra and the bad news is that the market at the moment is on the edge of a Blackhole of a fall and it could go either way over the next 3 months .A fall to 60p or less is possible but that's the gamble you take with any share but over the long term which is 5 to 10 years I think you will do well as the company is investing big time in fibre and the rewards will come but not for the next 3 years or so
