You could be correct we will find out over the next 6 months, if the Gulf War continues into the summer I imagine a lot of people may prioritise where they spend their cash for example keeping a car on the road and paying increasingly higher bills . May be cheaper to put whisky in the tank soon enough so that may help!

I wonder what's going on here ? 4 immediate resignations but no reason given. I sold the shares i received after the i3e take over last week for a small profit which I was happy to take as at one point I was down close to 50% on GT but I was expecting the SP to increase if the Gulf War continues but didn't want to take the risk. I think these resignations have suppressed the price today so will be interested to see what happens next?

About time , another £1 rise per share hopefully and I will fold. GL all

Your example of a stop loss only works if a share price drops in a orderly way and the SL triggers , in a very volatile market any share can drop right through a set stop loss price due to a process called Market Gapping so there's no garantee you will get the Stop loss price.

I agree sold for a £2.25 profit per share so am happy with that , it may go higher especially on any Take over offer but time will tell. Obviously I will miss the Divis but the profit is locked in now and am looking to cash in on several other insurance stocks to sit on cash for a while..GLA.

Not being able to view any RNS on this site with this particular stock doesn't help as regards what's going on within the business, iam not looking to sell but would like to get my shares out of my Halifax isa into a broker that can do a Matched Bargain Facility with JP Jenkins. I can see on JP Jenkins site a list of brokers who can do this and AJ Bell is one of them and I have a Investment Isa with them so they know my details but phoned them on 03455432600 but they weren't that sure and advised me to send email to Help@AJBell.co.uk and ask the question so I will see what happens next so if anybody has been successful let me know!

Am in today for 10k shares at 1.1575p mainly for 8% dividend if that's kept steady! I expect interest rates to decrease over the next year so that should be helpful supporting the SP but who knows!

You could be correct but who knows, I have dipped me toe in at £1.17 this morning for half of what I would like to hold and hoping for another slight drop to top up but in for the time being at fair price with 8% div Yield. GL all.

In its results published on Thursday, BT said it ended its financial year with 3 per cent fewer staff, at 116,000 in total including contractors, while its directly employed workforce was reduced by 8 per cent.Daily Mail news....so Bt manage 8% of contractual BT employees out of the company presumably on good wages and replace with 5% of contract (Quinns etc) on cheaper pay and conditions and able to lay off at no cost to Bt when the time is right, so a few quid saved there but a trend developing that will enable BT to cut staff to the bone when Fibre roll out completed . When that happens I expect BT to supercharge profits

Cant see a dividend being paid till oil is flowing which could be several years away, I have doubled my money and have been tempted to sell up but in the back of my mind I have a thought that this share could motor steadily upwards if good news arrives over any development plan to get into production but who knows!

Looks like am gonna get the chance to double down this morning around 4 quid , forget and hold then for recovery.

Av..M/G...Phoenix..L/gen...abdn and BT are pretty good to me but am not recommending any in particular..am just looking for good Divi payers which as you know are never guaranteed.

Brought in today ar 26p , I can see Share Buybacks cancelled but no word on Dividend. It may get cancelled or more likely cut back by 50-75% , sit and hold for me.
