Gold on a tear at $1860 and rising. I am still hopeful we will get a pre Christmas TK finance deal across the line or at least the bank finance confirmation so investors know the exact amount they need to enter or optimistically the bank finance is sorted and Harry is getting the investors over the line as we speak. Last week of October Harry was with the banks in Ethiopia and doing all the key meetings and he was comfortable on the recent shareholder update from Ethiopia, albeit in some pain from an injury. Tigray region is largely contained and banks should not have got this through the credit team and got back any answers from Harry. Christmas is a classic time for everyone to work towards closure and bankers like to clear their desks and bank their fees and there is a veritable bounty for all parties on TK so motivation is all there. EG i think is also not planning to let this slip as there is a lot riding on this for the Abiy government to secure future foreign currency.

Gold is also tickling $1850 and on the way back up. Certainly my feeling is we should be somewhere near £1 by New Year on the back of a good set of RNS and in particular toll mining to get the cashflow early and help fund the second hand mill that looks very very exciting if we go all out and head for the largest mill possible to get some seriously cashflow numbers flowing through the company. Looking forward to get back to the 60s very soon!

Billingham for me will be the start of the validation of the Eqtec business model to not just be the tech provider and do very nicely on that from but to cherry pick the best waste to energy projects and take a stake or full ownership. That is a massively exciting business and Eqtec has on paper all ingredients. If they can pull of Billingham how many projects globally could they be a part of in tech only, in a minority stake (Northfork by inputting equipment in exchange for stake) or full ownership. Is it 10, 100, 1000, 10000 .... the reality is over the next decade incineration is over and gassification is one credible way forward or absolutely minimise what gets to incineration and landfill. with some competition clearly but Eqtec are ahead not only on performance but most importantly on being able to basically take the issue off a partners hands, do all the heavy lifting and the partner simply keeps their input clean as equity investor and local contacts. Im happy to ramp Eqtec as i think aligning great cleantech with great business acumen is they key ingredients. Billingham is one of a number of projects that will define Eqtecs huge ambition and they are not on all 5 continents for the air miles. They have global ambition and massive demand!

Certainly been one of the best days for a while £240k buy and £112k sell. Steady buying all day and i suspect it will continue back to 2p pretty soon. Finance news could be soon and then we will see where this lands as the gravity of the news and the knockon value to Hawiah kicks in. Lets hope Harry and EG are driving this pony to the finish :)

Well today we have £190k of buys and only £60k of sells so confidence is building or those in the know are picking up a few and hedging the risk/reward and also an indication that if anyone was selling at the placing price that looks to have ended. Crazy underpriced if TK could be weeks away but the market is the market and Hawiah resource upgrade shouls be Q1 and it could be a magnitude of where it is today. I am expecting a steady rise up to the 18th and hopefully news on or before. cant discount the

As i understand from other posters HL shares are now with HSBC international and to sell you need to tell HL to do so and they will send the sell instruction to the broker. Its a bit old school and not ideal and i think need to sell the whole lot. Unless you have a certainty at Newmarket (when it next opens) i guess investors need to have some confidence that the £5m profit was not by chance and while the BOD fail spectacularly on communication they kinda know what they are doing and my hope is a finance PR is appointed in HK and a communication manager and between them they should be able to turn this inward looking company outwards. If they dont change then staff will leave and get demotivated as the share price is an embarassment. It is not even a PE of 2 based on profits. January i believe is next official financial update but would hope the BOD can manage something to keep their staff motivated and to build their investor register as it must look pretty slim these days.

Im feeling confident pre christmas finance close and we should bounce past 3p for starters. We should take solace in these moments of quiet before the storm hits. too many things have now come together in my view and even today Abiy was back to talking internally about next years elections and he will be wanting to bathe in a glow of positive economic news going into that. EG is not going to let time slip as they need the biggest export project news story as much as Kefi needs the finance over the line.

Im a big fan of Hydrogen, its a magnitude step better than electric cars. Electric cars create a massive carbon footprint both from mining all the lithium and raw materials needed for batteries but charging from electricity is odd given the carbon heavy nature especially when not from renewables as all electricity is blended so until 100% renewables you cant know your energy is not coming from coal power. Then you have the damn weight of electric cars that are so heavy its an energy consumer moving the tonnes of batteries around. Be very worried if your hit by one. Its madness to call electric cars green when they are not. The only good point is you dont need to quaff in toxic pollution coming out the back of diesels etc but its silly to call then green. Only thing green is either own 1 car for life or dont own one at all. Worst thing about electric cars is i bet like an iphone they will be discarded every few years for new gadgets. Then the madness of calling electric bikes and scooters green? what happen to human power. The mind boggles with all the green washing these companies play. anyway just like betamax vs vhs, if anyone is old enough to remember, sadly its not based on best but most lobbied and batteries are winning but they should tax these cars equally as diesel as frankly the baseline carbon footprint to create an electric car and run (if on bad electricity) is worse.

Kefi certainly has its risk/reward profile set to stun. if Harry deliveries TK finance its off to the races but if he fudges it and kicks the can it will be all eyes on Hawiah but some backsliding in the meantime. Certainly in the double or quits bracket and based on Harrys last words TK finance this happen this quarter. Sadly from history he has through a lot of external factors not delivered on time but 3 TK is at the make or break point ao do your research and make your own mind up. Certainly dont bet the house on this but recent placing was at 1.6p and you can buy in at the same price. Generally that is a good an entry as might get.

I guess its a start but they have 3 sections on the site “company news”, “industry news” and “tender announcements” and all its says it “no relevant news” so basically since the new site has gone live 6 months ago and with all their sales enquiries they have nothing to say? Do they think sales enquiries are impressed by it and does it make it more likely sales enquiries come their way? The company needs to focus on their front of house communication so they can compete for new business and build confidence as well as share with shareholders. It is odd that the first news is an academic r&d project as that id telling about the BOD. Great to see any news but a lot more is needed.

A long long way to go in my view. Still valued at silly season £59m and my view is Eqtec has the best technology of its class for gasification and waste to energy and includes managing far more input materials than comparables and has been perfecting and patenting its technology for the last 10 years and their is almost limitless demand for its services as shown by an orderbook in every continent. The big ticket for me is Eqtec becoming a major operator as well because the big money is in the gate prices and power subsidies and prices we get. Billingham for me is just proof of the business model as there could and should be 100s of these waste to energy plants as incineration and landfill is on the way out in a large part. Lets hope johnny come lately and his merry band of politicians spot the potential and focus a little of their energy to throw a few a billion at waste to energy than nuclear.

Looks that Abiy has completed the removal of the TPLF so hopefully peace can ensue and Kefi can get TK over the line. Certainly their were risk to Kefi but these have now gone. Good luck as i think Kefi will re-rate nicely.

I think TK is now or never under Harry stewardship. Harry is down to 1% of Kefi after disastrous dilution that has cost him a much larger stake and the ire of a lot of pis and i am very happy Harry is taking shares rather than salary if not just to make sure he has skin in the game. The difference this time for me is the EG government are not messing about. They have already sunk a lot of money into TK already and Rab Capital and others closer to the mine just topped up £3m cash to make sure we are good for next 6 months. The contractors have taken shares in lieu of payment. The window of opportunity is now. He missed the October deadline but in fairness he presented a very credible setup to move forward and Covid cannot have helped. Harry and team all managed to jump through hoops to make it to Ethiopia last week of October and they did not do that for fun. They were first to meet the new Minister of Mining, Harry is the chairman of the African Mine Group and highly respected by industry and EG. He has upset a lot of pis for good reason but we have everything in place and if TPLF issue is put to bed Kefi’s moment of truth has arrived. I am confident, assuming news is confirmed, that we will get the finance pre christmas. i am not sure why banking sign off will not be imminent as it should not take more than a month for banks to run this through credit. Maybe Harry is waiting on 3rd party investors before a big ticket RNS as opposed to splitting the bank finance from investor finance RNS. We will see but my view is this quarter as all energy looks to be on moving forward to mine build in the New Year. We will see but monday will be a re-rate i suspect back closer to 2p without an RNS. If an RNS dropped as well all bets are off :)

Fingers crossed but TPLF has been a constant issue in Ethiopia and if EG can secure peace this will considerably improve the sentiment for Kefi as the TPLF gas been rumbling in the background for years. While the drop in Kefi share price pre Tigray was largely around 2p if the TPLF are removed from power then it should create more peace and prosperity going forwards so reduce risk. well done to those who bought at these levels as assuming the dust settles could be a strong performance monday.

While it cant be assumed if the EG believe they have control of Mekele and if confirmed can see kefi improving on sentiment monday. Could help get TK over the line if the EG can create quiet in the region and an overall peace in Ethiopia off the back of this but does look that the TPLF had limited support if its been largely unopposed.

Well good to see mid Tigray action this new report puts valuation at 6.86p at $1600 gold and around 10p for prices closer to today. Plenty of toom fot improvement, just need to get the banking confirmation over the line and then the investors. plenty of upside for everyone in due course.

We value KEFI’s projected 65% interest in Tulu Kapi at £103.7m or 5.03p per share assuming a US$1,600/oz gold price and 10% discount rate. On top of this, we estimate that KEFI’s 34% interest in the Hawiah VMS and Jibal Qutman projects could potentially add 1.05p per share and 0.78p per share, respectively should KEFI be successful in leveraging its cash flows from Tulu Kapi to develop its next-stage projects into production, based on maiden resources only. Taken together, we value KEFI at 6.86p per share assuming the projected 65% interest at Tulu Kapi. Our valuation increases to £172.2m or 8.35p per share should KEFI and its JV partner successfully double the maiden resource at Hawiah as targeted with the current drill campaign. We note that our valuation increases to £214.7m or 10.14p per share when considering the current gold price of US$1,878/oz.
