The US work on basis that if a country is not doing what the US wants they roll out the counter insurgencies and sanctions and in this case Nicaragua are not allowing US companies to dominate their economy. Not saying Ortega is a nice person but as we see all over the world the removal of such leaders often leads to chaos(Iraq…). Even the UK must do exactly what the US wants or we suffer and Biden was first one to trash Northern Ireland protocol, block any trade agreement, speak openly on Liz Truss, use their currency to destabilise and they were supposed to be our special friend :) notice how the US has been quietly taking over the majority of our NHS and military companies and then Biden lobbies like crazy for war and turning the NHS into an extension of the US health system. We are fortunate we have JM in place. One silver lining is even Calibre might now see sense in a toll agreement. we are weeks, maybe 2 months from financing so just need to hold tight and perhaps take advantage of the low share price.
