Sorry £6 million raise not 7.1 million ! I was thinking 71 million shares at 10p but then thought 8.5p more likely!!! I’m sorry I have a cold !!
I’d raise £6 million .. 71 million shares at 8.5p and get the job done to get us through 1801 1b and 1802.
I would love to buy more at these prices but am fearful of pouring any more money in until the mood swings back in a positive direction with some positive news. My average buy price is 1.3p old money 65p new money so my current holding sits at a hefty loss like many but at least I did sell some in the summer of 2021 so one of the lucky ones sitting on an overall gain although that is little comfort when looking at the losses on the remaining holding over the last year or so.
Assuming the BofD were looking at the sale of their shares at a decent price to fund their pensions (and assuming they probably didn’t have the nous to make pension contributions out of income) then they are suffering like other LTH and will be keen/desperate to arrange some minding of funding to take us through 1b. If they and we are all in it together then there is still hope.
Hope you have a successful trip today .. great effort .
Do we know on what basis GBX came up with £1.70 or was it a complete guess?!!
PCS .. you have a much better handle on the numbers than most .. any thoughts what value the “Bay Bridge Bio calculator” might come up with for SAR?
I’m guessing you may already be familiar with the chart? If so can you hazard a guess what SAR should be worth given current stage of testing?
Hi Gunnar .. if the BofD do try to raise capital from us hard hit investors which I think is inevitable I would certainly be expecting some sort of quid pro quo from them including the offer of reduced salaries all round and absolutely definitely the dismissal of the utterly useless PH as advisors whose appointment has coincided almost to the day with the tumultuous fall in the share price.
If 1801 and 1802 pass muster then a 1 billion valuation is still certainly feasible. With no dilution that is £14 a share which was the dream we all add. The route to raise money will almost certainly involve a dilution. So maybe we just have accept that after money raising there will be twice as many shares in issue reducing our dream target valuation from £14 go £7 a share! I could live with that and it would still be life changing for many. Rather have £7 a share than diddly squit! If we were to raise £7 million at 10p a share would that be enough to get us through 1a and 1b on 1801 and 1802?
Dead right Parrot .. no one likes a “know all” .. let alone God
Just as my beloved ManU somehow contrived to beat Liverpool, the much better team today, against all the odds then hopefully SAR can overcome the odds currently stacked against them and come though this very difficult time and achieve their goals!!
Appreciate you comments Razor; you hold more than me and as a significant shareholder you have every right to challenge management and I notice there has been no negative posting on here by you either.
Irrespective of what happened at the presentation if you are not interested or invested in PRD becoming successful then please just go away .. it is incredibly tedious. If you are shorting or have some other good reason why you want the share price to fall then just be honest and say so .. the positive posters and investors here are generally pretty open and honest about their positions. Call me naive but I’d rather be naive than tedious.
Wish I had been at the meeting I would have happily taken on the disruptors .. what is their point? If they don’t want PRD to succeed then go and find another share they do want to succeed. I loathe shorting and also derivative generally. I feel very optimistic about this share and it would be great if the tedious prophets of doom would go away and just leave us to enjoy our PRD profits in due course.
Anyone have an idea of how much cash SAR may currently have left?
What a day to blow the bleeding doors off!! Happy birthday indeed ..
“Little more than a punt” .. always makes me chuckle in a very childish way and think of this letter to one of the national newspapers last year
“On Saturday, you published a photo of the UK prime minister above the headline "A dangerous cult now runs Britain" I was pleased to see that, despite the constant turmoil of the modern world, some things, such as the Guardian's famed penchant for typos, never change!”
In the summer of 2021 SAR raised over £4.5 million from 3 HNW investors at prices (todays prices) varying from £1.40 to £4.12. We are now at 25p!
3 questions.
Those guys must have looked at the science and been impressed. I don’t believe the science has changed so surely those guys would be interested in investing again at the current basement price of 25p unless they are so disillusioned with the Company and BofD they would no longer trust them with their money.
That £4.5 million was supposed to help complete the preclinical studies with SDC-1801 and advance it into clinical development, and to progress the preclinical development of our second TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor SDC-1802." So where has all the money gone?
What has gone wrong with management? They were able to raise money in large amounts in 2021, they quickly and skilfully reacted to the U.K. testing fiasco and moved 1801 to Australia and they renegotiated a deal in 737. So what is different now which seems to be messing up their judgement?
Oh dear .. 69 years old and still not learned my lessons ! As well as top slicing on the way up (done successfully with SAR) you need to set stop losses on the way down (not done with SAR!). This is such a shame. After successfully finding an alternative to UK testing in Australia and renegotiating 737 it looks like a dodgy financing deal may have done for SAR. One question .. how have they used up so much of the RF money so quickly since last autumn .. where has it gone?
With the market cap now down to just 20 million why on earth don’t one of the larger pharma’s just move in and take SAR out for what would be little more than pocket money to them? If the science is as good as the BOD have always claimed surely some of the big boys out there will know this?
