As May draws to a close I am left thinking that we surely can't go another month without news. If the trial at Stade started the beginning of April then we should have news around mid June? Anyone feeling a little nervous?

I wish I knew someone working at AFC to see if they've had feedback from Stade. I'd love to put more money in here if I could eliminate the risk!! :) Once friends and family start piling in that could be the signal that all's well!

Looks like you could be right Southernhay, judging by the 7.75% drop in share price today. They took a punt on the RNS being a winner...but alas, the wait continues.

Does the 28 day rule now apply to the Director deal that was RNS'd yesterday?

I guess so, was just concerned that if the government won't renew his visa he may not want to keep his uk investments. Feeling twitchy until we get good news!!

Sky news reporting that a source close to RA says that his visa hasn't been renewed since it expired in April. That would explain why there were no mug shots of him yesterday at the cup final. This seems very strange unless the Government have a undisclosed reason to expel him. Could there be any implications affecting AFC? Hope he doesn't decide to sell up.

A 13.75% spread suggests that the MM's are trying to hoover up stop losses to increase their holdings. Maybe they have an idea when news flow may start. Let's hope they expect a rapid increase soon!!

Hi Strontium, that's reassuring. I recall a local planning application to remove waste coal tips and develop land turned down because there were rare newts breeding on the land!

AFC have stated that electrode life is currently well over 12 months for large scale systems and that they are working with De Nora to achieve 4 years life. Is this likely to hold back De Noras warranty, or, will they achieve 4 years electrode life on the smaller units first, provide warranty and hopefully obtain sales before achieving 4 years life on the large scale systems. This would seem to make sense and tie in with initial small unit sales prior to large industrial power sales.

Oh no I hope this doesn't go down the tube or this could be one of our 2018 announcements scuppered!

Also totally agree that AB's best skills are yet to be utilised i.e. sales. I think he could sell sand to the Arabs, so fuel cells shouldn't be a problem. Just need the finalised product which I feel we'll have more news June/ July.

Now we know that PLACE can't be fully achieved until 4 years electrode longevity, is it known if de Nora will warranty the electrodes without PLACE being fully achieved? Without a warranty unlikely to be signed contracts?

Hi Bumble, yes battery storage from McPhy's water electrolysis is pure speculation but we have had news from AFC previously stating they are interested in developing their own battery storage. In an ideal scenario partnership.......:)

Looks like this could partly be the "Shareholder value" Adam Bond referred to a while back prior to Kore having to be re-engineered. Hopefully once Kore finally achieves all the metrics at Stade we could have an RNS linking us with this. There seems to be potential for 100's of MW's which reaffirms Adam Bonds comment that De Nora wouldn't be here unless there was a large opportunity for them.

Is there any tie in with AFC here?
