Looks like the awarding of the stack contract "by the end of 2018" is not going to happen before the end of 2018. I must say I am disappointed with this and was hoping to see in the New Year with re-newed hope and an improved share price. I really hope that the November update wasn't released just to dangle another carrot infront of us to see them into the new year.

I agree Mucksy, in fact I seem to recall the share price went up significantly when the new website went live so the market must have liked it too. Hopefully this new company can update it. Maybe they're waiting for a flurry of news in the new year!

Is it's current condition a sign of an inevitable slow death or a sign that they currently have bigger fish to fry and their attention is focussed solely on those partners that are already known (not to us PI's though). No matter which, I would prefer them to temporarily suspend the website until it's up to date rather than lead potential customers, investors and PI's up the garden path with false information.

FTSE has a mini rebound today...AFC continues...well, as the above song goes.. :(

Share price drop today could be reflective of the big drop on todays FTSE. The trouble with Brexit is that it looks like it is going to whip up a storm on the markets, possibly making AFC's entry to commerciality very badly timed as far as the share price goes.

Hi Sharesport, yes interesting. A buy in from De Nora could possibly fund AFC's commercial outset. We'll see.

Noticed an article in the Sunday Times regarding Chinese state backed Weichai Power staking another 10% claim in Ceres Power amidst concerns that up and coming British companies are being targeted for takeovers as soon as they show promise.
Will we see something similar with AFC and De Nora once PLACE is finally achieved?

Hi BB, I was referring to the following commercial update statement:
The Company expects to finalise its appointment of a mass-produced flow plate manufacturer by the end of 2018, following an international competitive tender.
Having just announced this, in my opinion it would once again create the appearance of failure if they do not reach this goal by the end of 2018.

AFC may not have 'promised' results in 2018 but as has previously been mentioned, making a statement about a significant contract achievement just a couple of weeks before year end raises expectation. AFC have to pull this off and bury the ghosts of Christmas's past.

Fairly happy with todays RNS overall all with a few more steps taken forward on most of the goals. The manufacturing contracts appear almost finalised which should be the starters gun for further news on other interested parties. I think we'll all be sleeping a little easier when this finally crosses the line and the share price is back above 20p.

The first order to Southern Oil won't be supplied until early Q3 2019 so it's highly unlikely, neigh on impossible for 1GW to be under manufacture by 2020. Why haven't AFC updated their website which still states under 'Commercial Opportunities' that they expect 1GW by the end of 2020. Surely this is misleading and doesn't reflect well on the accuracy of the information on their website. Please AFC can you update your website with more up to date information on expected manufacturing levels. If any of the stated commercial opportunities are no longer relevant, or there are new areas of opportunity, please could this section be updated too. Thanks.

I will be extremely disappointed with AB and AFC if yet another year passes by with the majority of promises made not fulfilled. We are still waiting for the shareholder value promised!! AB may be comfortable on his annual salary but many on here have invested a lot of their annual salary based on promised made and broken over the last few years.

The highs back in 2012 were also partly due to Akzo Nobel stating that it was higher than 50% likely that a full roll out of AFC fuel cells across their chemical plants would happen within 5 years. I wonder if they're still interested once PLACE is met?

If we’ve seen the back of the distressed seller we may see this rise over the next couple of weeks.

Relieved it’s looking a matter of when not if but frustrated to have reached another corner. This shouldn’t affect the announcement of other news that AFC have scheduled before the end of 2018 so still looking forward to at least updates on De Nora manufacturing deal, third party fuel cell integration, Dunsfold.

It's been "make or break" for this company for seemingly years but they always manage to keep us thinking that success is just around the next corner. There's been more corners than a Man City home game.

Wouldn't it be ironic if AFC made their momentous announcement on November 5th so those soggy fireworks can finally be set off by Stumbler.
