at least the dividend tax is 7.5% for basic rate tax payers if you do have to pay it , for those who have a lot of shares.

just a quick question. Are Dividends counted the same way for tax if you had the CASH sent to your bank account or the Dividend was reinvested into the Company ? I assume that it is as it is a gain.

,,,,, This isnt a negative post but it may seem that way, so I could expect some grumbles, and it may have been brought up already.
WHEN there is a drug developed that WILL ( and SNG are one of many possibles) fight COVID-19 and prove its is saving lives, WOULD the Government consider not allowing the results to be known to the general public for fear of everyone stopping social distancing and following Government guidlines on satying safe . I only ask as I dont think they can do it but then again WHO thought we would be in a situtation like this?
