Interesting as that may indicate that Vametco wasn't holding enough pre-prepared inventory to meet orders during the elongated strike. This depletion may have been in part caused by use of finished inventory to cover the previous strike/community action and insufficient time to restock?

I take absolutely no pleasure whatsoever in saying that today has played out exactly as I predicted on Friday. The early drop followed by forcing below 40p at the close.

This recent action has nothing to do with fundamentals or genuine buy/sell behaviour and the manipulation absolutely stinks. The market is currently dysfunctional and I have zero confidence in it.

I hope this is the last Christmas some of these people will see employed in the financial services industry. The FCA investigation cannot come soon enough.

My thoughts are with anyone who has genuinely needed to sell over the last week and have been cheated out of up to 20% value. Please keep a record of the transaction and I really hope you will submit details to Alfa so he can add it to the upcoming class action so you can hopefully be compensated accordingly at a later date.

Genuine question if I may. This "after hours" trading seems a relatively new phenomenon. I have been in this share for many years as have many of you. It never seemed to be the case that ANY trades appeared at 16:30 let alone up to an hour after the market officially closed. We also never saw any UT trades at any time of day? I seem to recall comments by some posters here that they had DMA.

So the question is what has changed, and why?

Yes that must be because a trade of six shares is so monumental that it requires the full safeguarding by the stock exchange ensuring all parties are informed at all times with special protections because selling six shares is likely to cause a massive swing in share price.

Give me a break. This gets more ridiculous by the day.

Well the cynic in me says we will open at that level, be marked down 2p by 9am - 9.30am then an attempt to force this to under 40p by the close at 12.30pm.

I sincerely hope I am wrong but I can only trust what I am seeing with my own eyes.

Over the last couple of weeks this share has been and is being abused. The current situation absolutely reeks and anyone that thinks they can just dip in and casually observe that the comments on blatant manipulation are unfounded is totally deluded. This share is not reacting to any genuine buy/sell behaviour. It is dropping on nothing and being held to a daily level despite a sea of buys.

The evidence is in front of everyone. Whether it's the forced 2p daily drop from 8am - 9am or the blatant 3.30 onwards mark downs to force a particular closing price to quote just two examples, the numbers don't lie. No genuine seller puts in a sell order at 38 when the price is 44 unless they are deliberately trying to crash the price.

Something at the moment is totally and utterly rotten to the core and the sooner this is thoroughly investigated and the necessary sanctions put in place the better.

Alfa I was very much hoping we had seen the end of the 8am - 9am drop by 2p on nothing algorithm but it seems to have returned. Any thoughts?

@RazorSchultz My thinking is 1p initially with possibly another 2p for the year end making 3p total for the first year. 2019 looks very healthy of course with much higher Vanadium price averages so 2020 dividends could be very nice indeed, more than many LTH's averages I suspect.

I am not predicting longer term at the moment until we know the costs/profits expected in the BE business plan.

@RichKen I am not sure why you directed that at me as I don't believe any of my comments said we wouldn't receive the news before the end of 2018. Of course there are trading days remaining in 2018 and still time to receive the news.

Perhaps the word "hopefully" was used in an interview but the company website still has the original statement for 2018 H2 as of 17:05 today.

If the situation has officially changed then the website should have been updated.

Indeed it hasn't Nick but it would have been more beneficial to get this out before the Christmas shutdown week. Ideally at least five full trading days to give the share price time to react and stabilise after the announcement.

If we take the new standard of doing everything seemingly last minute then firing this out on a half day last minute New Years Eve isn't going to generate the same buying pressure as it could have.

@Redleader147 I will share your disappointment if we do not hear the dividend policy by the end of 2018 as the words were quite specific particularly in regards to "During the second half of 2018, the Company will define a capital allocation framework" with the key word being "will" - not aim for or target but will.

@Redleader147 Fortune was quoted as saying the iron ore price would have to be over $100 for BMN to be interested in looking at this again. I would have to increase over 50% from current levels to get to $100 so no time soon.

@Rob1967 Looking at the chart I think you are right, 48.5p is the new record daily close for BMN.

Of course highest trade is not the same as a daily closing price, I can find no record of closing above 50p - perhaps tomorrow!

That depends if you believe the last drop from 50p to the 30's had anything to do with PI psychology, I certainly don't. Blatant manipulation is my call.
