I note that the last price monitoring extension was on 8/3/17 when we announced we had provided proof of funding for the purchase of Strategic Minerals Corporation shares in Vametco.

According to the LSE chart that resulted in the highest record trading volume over a two week period in BMN history of 187m shares and led to the rise in share pricing over the next month from 3p to 8p.

Could history repeat itself?

Indeed Lucan - the text of law is the responsibility of the government. From what I read here the DMR don't believe there is a case to answer as they have sovereignty over all minerals:

Therefore if there is conflict between interpretations it is down to the law makers to either clarify or legislate to correct the position. In which case there are strings to be pulled - just a little wider than BMN in isolation.

Unfortunately it is easy for investors elsewhere in the world to post that they feel the blame is at the door of BMN regarding Mokopane whereas thus far BMN have been held back by the government machine. Corruption in the DMR office, a basket case minister, corrupt president, you name it. Except now the tide is turning, the noises for mining from upper government are very positive and corruption is being rooted out.

Cyril has momentum, he needs to get these final hurdles unblocked for the good of both business and citizens prosperity.

Well we can only hope that the necessary strings are being pulled to get Mokopane issued as soon as possible. As a mineral resource it would appear to tick all the boxes and create hundreds of jobs both in construction and ongoing mining and the derived products will be widely used/sold within SA and wider Africa.

@ma5k we have seen background sells before, the invitation was to explain how a 1 share sell at 1.75p below the mid (or 1p below the advertised bid if you prefer) has a plausible explanation other than attempted manipulation.

@Libero based on the last information from the company the dividend policy or capital allocation framework will be defined in Q1 2019.

Actual payment of a dividend is pure speculation until the framework is known.

Which would be used to distort the market (as it is now) and as you can see from the subsequent trades they are now charging a little bit less for each trade so they can drop the ask from 32.5 to 32p despite the buys. Again they want this red and don't want to risk a flat or blue close.

The thing is you see this in front of your eyes yet there are still people who will claim that there is no manipulation going on and it's all in our imaginations. How else can a 1 share trade at 1.75p below the mid price be anything else?

If anyone has a plausible explanation other than manipulation feel free to post it.

It's Dr Mike I feel most sympathy for. He has been at the top end of pharma and changed the lives of millions of men around the world. To see his most recent development mismanaged in this way must be incredibly frustrating for him.

Apologies if already covered but I don't check in here very often now, had an email a few days back confirming Fortacin was back in stock at Doctor-4-U so coincides with what was said previously about the UK "relaunch" although to be honest that just sounds like we sent the UK some stock rather than fanfaring.

I feel the UK was a missed opportunity when we previously had acres of press coverage but no easy method for people to get hold of it.

Like oneeyedchris when I originally invested I fully expected for this to pay off my mortgage and for a while it looked like that would happen, then the rot set in from the 20p days and now it's practically worthless. To be honest I have pretty much written off my investment in this basket case, perhaps one day I might end up being pleasantly surprised by an announcement by Regent Pacific but I doubt I will live long enough. Hell I would even take just "surprised" but even that's a long shot.

Wonder if Regent Pacific will show their faces at Master Investor this year? No doubt Dr Mike will be left to carry the can (literally) and field all the shareholder complaints whilst management hide away in HK as usual.

Jamiejojo do you mean because someone would feel aggrieved because they are now buying in to a fully de-risked proposition whilst others took all the risk early on in the cycle?

You could certainly take that view, on the other hand they are buying in at 35p whilst others bought in at 2p so are already paying nearly 18x the price.

That's not taking anything away from the argument that they should actually be paying at least 87p of course.

Indeed and there are some excellent technological articles online about these that should provide reassurance that there is full commitment in the project to minimising emissions.

Sanchez very good point. It's not just about the coal, it's about the infrastructure that goes alongside it. Infrastructure that will continue to be maintained and utilised after the useful life of the coal plant has been exceeded, infrastructure that will also in future be used for transmission of power generated by renewable means.

I have no doubt that the plant will be built with all the latest emission reduction technologies.

The original point isn't telling us anything that we didn't already know and have known for a long time. However I am sure the people on the ground that stand to benefit from this project are over the moon to finally being able to have mains electricity rather than portable generation. The other benefit being that the plant will be fuelled by an internal resource and won't be at the mercy of any international action/conflict/constraint of supply.

Eventually the world will move en-mass to renewables and this process has already begun. It isn't a process that is going to be completed in my lifetime but it will happen. Coal plants will eventually go EOL and be replaced with renewables.

In terms of BMN we already know that the focus is Vanadium and everything else is secondary. Tin has gone to ATM and Lemur will go also. As BBN comments that time isn't now, as shareholders I am sure we all want the maximum return from Lemur and this means progressing the project to it's full potential before either giving Lemur its own standalone listing again or selling the project in full.

In terms of the RNS I am pleased that everything is progressing and progressing well and look forward to the next stages being completed.

Now that's thinking outside the box, the kind of sleuthing that makes Fortune smile.

Well we always concentrate on the Vanadium but it is nice to be reminded that the mining right covers several other minerals as well. The economics of this project are already off the chart - please bring on that licence DMR.

Further to that, taking your figure of 5.5p EPS Nick then at a P/E average of 23.28 that would put the share price at £1.28, which is much closer to average broker targets for BMN. 35p is laughable.
