The problem with using Olympic-size swimming pools as an example of volume is that the important factor, as regards swimming competitions, would be it's length (50m) and width(25m). Depth can vary significantly.

I remember the Empire Pool in Cardiff had a massive "pit" of about 5m below the diving boards.

Used to make my ears pop trying to touch the bottom. :)

Mainstream press will need it quantified in something comparable that the masses can get to grips with. Such as Olympic-size swimming pools, double-decker buses, blue whales or how many miles the average family car would need to go. ;)

Thanks for the link LSE. Always good to see something local. Working away these last few weeks so miss out on any local chat and gossip. Don't know why, but still not sure about this Tower Group lot. Lofty ambitions and intentions but would like to see something material from them. Other than their one page website they seem to be involved with varying businesses from holiday centres, environmental services, commercial real estate... Hmmm?

Anyway, putting my cynicism aside for a moment, I did see this on their LinkedIn page for what looks like something being aired earlier tonight. Not sure if it's available on BBC iplayer.
