I recall posting about these Irish patrol boats when Infa first aquired Appledore as they had been talked about locally before the yard closed. I was also made aware that they had been spoken of during the "vigorous discussions" that went on before Infa took on the yard. But then, so were fishing vessels for the Faroe Islands and support ships for Iceland.
Twelve months on... ???
Bit like the "highly anticipated new contracts" that were spoken of at the two events for prospective employees this week last year. I sure at some point some news will drop, out of the blue and it will all be forgotten in the rush.

Could it be that our main competitor for this contract is keeping the sell pressure on with the shares they have been given as part payment of Appledore. One way to take out the competition.

Any faith I once had was lost a while back and sold out back last summer. I did buy back 25% on the Sapiem contract but sold within two days at a small loss. Recently bought back 50% between 20-18p and have been considering getting back up to my original holding at these lows as that would bring my BE to within reach. Wish I could have a bit more faith, tbh, but after waiting ten years for something to happen I may bit a bit jaded. lol
But, I live in hope. For all LTH's.

Know someone local that applied to Appledore and was waiting to hear back. Will find out how they got on.

At least this time the company RNSed the reduction in a more timely manner. Last time they reduced, back in June, it took two weeks . Saying that, it still doesn't look good when Insti's are selling down at all time lows. Obviously, at a loss.

Why no update on Appldore, re: payment? Are they doing their usual trick of "renegotiating" the deal?
Saw the comments on what were being called "placing shares" as being an indication of them having done the deal. But they would have been done through an issue of equity not a couple of large trades through the exhange, shirly?
Heading to Barnstaple this afternoon, might swing by Appldore and see if I can spot any activity.

If new investors have been attracted by the DM tip, that could also be a good thing for the main company. If they do a bit of research. 21.43% up, not bad for less than an hour. :)

Just to play along, from Wally's notes on the last Investor thing, "ORPH may get CEO later this year, CF cannot be CEO of DIM and other companies", maybe that is why AW came over as he was promised the role once CF moved on.

Or maybe, rather than filtering anyone, people just didn't respond on a personal level. If you feel compelled to address any issues with a counter argument then do so by all means, as that what these boards are for. Just try and keep the personal digs to yourself and bear in mind that you might not ever change other people’s opinions as they may never change your own. And yes, it may get really, really repetitive and somewhat boring, but at least it's civil. Otherwise, it just ends up with lots of tit for tat posts with some very humorous misspellings of other’s monikers and some killer finishing put downs. Or not. ;)

Learnt long ago not to discount other’s views even when they don't necessarily fit your own. And TBH, have lost money in not listening when the majority were crying foul. Confirmation-bias will win every time on these boards. It's human nature.
It can be a revelation to go way back a re-read who said what at any given pivotal moment in a shares history and notice just how wrong some called it, on either side. When the dust settles it's funny how those that got it spectacularly wrong either sidle off into oblivion or just change tack in the hope that no one will notice.

Anyhoo, you don't need a sermon from the likes of me. Just sayin', sometimes it's best to just say nothing, and be happy to know at least you know you’ve called it right.

I spotted this first thing when looking up the PfSPZ Challenge agent. University of Oxford using the same agent in a similar study. It's in collaboration with The Kenya Medical Research Institute and European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). Wondered if there may be any connection between them and OO (hVivo) as we have been linked to working with Oxford Uni. in the past.
