I've corrected him before regarding your previous employment details before, H9. So he has been made aware of it previoously. I think his selective memory is the same as his intermitent filtering issues. Beleived similar BS spouted by HMV reagarding myself. Lapped it all up and spat it back at people with checking. IMHO
"our four markets and six services"
Hmm, have we lost a market somewhere? That's careless, imo.
Always banging on about " With our strategy of serving five markets across six services ...." blah, blah....
Thought they might even have started adding the ferry market to the list by now. :)
Cheers LSE. If you look on you favourite vessel tracking site the D moorings seem to be just up and right of the entrance of the Belfast Dry Dock. Where the SeaRose parked up for a bit. D1S is where the Stena Forwarder is and D1N is where the MPI Adventure is currently moored. As that quay goes further north it goes passed the RSPB reserve to what looks like a large open area going up to Kinnager Jetty at the end. Found this about the site and some of the challenges it's faced. Even our old freinds DERA gets a mention. :)
"The design encompassed a 340m quay wall, mooring dolphins, concrete deck and quay hinterland, reclamation, dredging and associated infrastructural works in a heavily environmentally designated area for bird assemblage. "

Note that it has also been changed to now include the SeaRose as a "Material Contract".
Adding it to the existing material contracts for the FFS, Cory Barges and the M55 motorway work that were previously in place. For some reason it does not include the latest ten barge Cory contract announced in November. Only the previous two contracts that were awarded in 2022 for 23 barges.
So, looking forward to what those over on ADHD FM have to say about that. :)
That'll be a bit like the supposed tug they were going to purchase and inform us later.
Like some of the exchanges going on over there.
Question
Is this vessel really being sailed front Tahiti to Belfast? Is there any way to track her progress? Will shed really be up to the challenges of British waters, given where she was built? I recall that Condor Ferries brought their new fast ferry from Australia and it has never reliably coped with English Channel conditions!
Answer from Scilly Ferries
....... the Atlantic Wolff will be sailing from Tahiti soon and you will be able to track her progress. The vessel is more than capable of operating in our waters
Latest
Scilly Ferries is that still the case? Not so sure having listened to yesterday’s interview?
Must tune in for the next episode. lol
Oh, of course, how scilly of me, on facebook. My bad.
Was just looking through the days posts, 16 pages back.
Grumble, grumble..... that is why you should not use social media for official news posts. IMO :)
That must be the one I heard about. It was also mentioned by the Scilly councilor on their facebook page as well, at the time. If I was at home I could have poped down for a walk-about. See what the word is on the... quay.
You will have to excuse my cynicism or even scepticism when it comes to company news releases as sometimes they don't match up. I sometimes feels that they think we are not capable of remembering, or able to look up, previous statements. That or they rely on a fresh churn of investors that don't look that deeply. Anyway, that appointment was from 2021 yet in the latest RNS regarding the first US contract in November it says, " less than six months of establishing our business in Florida." So, a good example of what little info there is, doesn't even match up. I'm sure somebody may be able to fill in the gaps or we will have to wait for ONLYMEE's missus to get over there and report back. :)
Link not working for me.

Aware we might have an office of some sort, but other than that very little has been shared, tbh. Not aware of numbers other than the original appointment of Graham Couser.

In JW speak, "growing US base" could be from zero to 1.
I posted a pic of one of them last week as a joke, as you can see the yard in the picture behind them. There is a lay-by on the road just there and it's where I normally go through onto the cycle path to get a decent view of the yard for a good nosey. If they have the big doors open you can see right in with some nocliers. Not that would, Mr MOD. ;)
Says, "No longer accepting applications", if I've got the right link, that is.
Financial Controller – USA operations, Harland & Wolff, Tampa, FL .
Had to use just the last part of your link, otherwise Linkedin takes me to the sign up page.
Would the new ferry be going to Appledore? I thought that they had another freight vessel in that they were fixing up. Something to go along with the Terramare and Valonia.
From yesterday in Newlyn. Maybe Appledore too busy to fit here in, in house, but then Newlyn is just down the coast from the home port of Penzance.
"H&W Terramare, late last night she was hauled up the slipway for her annual maintenance programme, this year will see her change the livery from KMS to H&W, also some other small jobs."
It's always been said that the new (to H&W) ferry would go to Belfest for a it's refurb/ paint job.
BTW, ONLYMEE, which yard?
No difficulty on my part, BT. And as I said, I've just read that and posted the last part of that sentence, "in 2026".
Makes no mention of, "The Season", so as far as I could see you are just assuming. Be that a fair assumption or not, or just to prove a point over another poster, I wouldn't like to guess or assume.
Leave you to it. ;)
