A billion pound company can still have a low individual share price if there are two many shares in circulation.

If we keep issuing shares the company will certainly grow but the sp will drag. At some point we have to let the latter catch up or none of us will see the fruits of our investments for a long time.

I quite agree if the board don't rearrange their priorities to include care of the sp a bid at a low price could well arrive or even a revolt by the institutional investors who did not come on board to watch an ever growing company with a static or lagging share price. Pressure needs to come from Slater and others to achieve a better balance between tech and finance.

That would be approx. 2 cents per share pre tax profit on copper alone kalan so not much allowance for anything else in the sp?

Has anyone actually measured the monetary value of the last share issue? Surely these costs can be covered by cash in the future . If the miners want shares let them buy them on the open market with the proceeds. We are surely not that desperate for resources that we can't even process at the moment.

As long as they don't start issuing more cheap shares. The threat of that is one thing holding the sp back. Why buy now when you might get another load of comedy miners flogging their gains off asap?

There are more than two choices 3card. Not easy I know as most prefer the visceral reactions that require less thought but cool heads are needed if very many more people are not to die.

Edzi, I did get your point but I was merely asking the question that has to be asked of everyone. I'm glad that you agree it would be a backward step in abandoning it and the countries that do observe it should hold others to account. I don't think Putin and his cronies are going to be setting foot in many jurisdictions any time soon and that applies to many other tyrants and terrorists. Not perfect I know and the USA is also not exempt even though it is not a signatory.

When the US hit Japan with nuclear weapons international law as we know it did not exist edzi. It was agreed upon precisely to prevent the atrocities that took place during that world war. Maybe you would like to abandon it so that tyrants and terroristic staes can just decide what they do to soldiers or civilians without any concern as to the consequences?

By the way I absolutely carry no torch for Iran or any of its proxies. However, if International law is not observed then we are all cast adrift with no rules. if it applies to one it has to apply to all.

Agree with much of that but I think the copper targets will be hit a bit sooner than that. Once the machinery is rolling it's pretty much bolted on.
