Obviously plenty of stock available. Marketmakers don't give a toss about intrinsic valueof a company. If one tenth of this came on the market and there were no takers the valuation would be virtually nothing.

Absolutely Edzi. I'm around the same age and we moved over to Germany 3 and a bit years ago as all our family are over there. Cost quite a bit and the tax situations is worse ( ISA has no status) but may other things are better re quality of life. I hope the people you are talking about are well insured as any savings could just disappear on one extended hospital stay.
