The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Agreed Stoney40 that using percentage increases in themselves is at best misleading. Tajikstan for example has jumped from 0 to 104 cases in a week, with no Covid-related deaths recorded since Jan 2. Low case no's, low testing and inaccurate reporting are all likely. Worryingly are the recent upward trends in countries that have had relatively few cases - e.g. Zimbabwe (along with neighbouring Zambia and Botswana). https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
Interesting BBC feature!
Good start today
Very quiet here. Now 4.0/4.2!
30% profit takers. Good enough for me in 2 days!
Good to see these making an upward move. Too long in the doldrums!
Hi Wolframite. I warned about the likely length of the drilling and assessment programme a few months ago now and was shot down for scaremongering. In essence you are right that it would be expedient to run more rigs, or else double-shift with the present one/s. That means more supervision so it would be necessary to dedicate another or other team/s (geo + 2 techs + vehicle per rig) - which should be feasible as long as the budget allows. That is the custom. There are plenty of highly competent and experienced home-grown exploration geo's in Bulawayo (I've worked with and am friends with several) whose daily charge-out rate is way lower than their Muzungu counterparts who would have to be recruited from SA.
Hi Wolframite. The dirt road to Zulu from Fort Rixon (c. 10 km) can be seen from Google Earth to be an all-season road. To site it's just 1 km from this dirt road. As Zulu is in a valley tract thick, soft soils will be the main issue for rigs - even for relatively lightweight (c. 10 tonne) diamond drilling rigs. In general 'not drilling in the rainy season' is a protocol followed by the majority of drillers and exploration companies not because it's impossible but because it's often fraught with issues, inefficiencies, safety concerns and bills for dirt road regrading.
The majority of land can be drilled during the rainy season. I've supervised many mineral drillholes in this part of Africa - including during the rainy season. Yes, it is an issue - mainly in terms of rig access due to waterlogged, soft ground, crossing watercourses with heavy vehicles and also (albeit for relatively brief periods) from intense periods of rain with attendant lightning. Usually though the heavy rains last for only a couple of hours a day. The worst rain months are from December into early March - a long way off.

Feelings in the markets are positive towards copper - long term - https://www.dailyfx.com/copper-prices
Should rise steadily today
Is deep sea mining carried out by deep seamen?
I think any fundraising (of whatever type) would come after Indian Gov't approval. When that comes the price is likely to increase again above the current threshold (0.35 plus, 0.4 plus, 0.5 plus or whatever!).
Agreed liquid1. Patience is required - and no stop losses!
Pleased for everyone holding here. Looks pretty safe to me at these prices based on gas resources of 1TCF or perhaps several times that. 1TCF means a billion dollar company in broad-brush terms and 2 or 3 times that (which is quite feasible) is enough to interest the 'big boys'! The fact that it is based in India is extra assurance. For a similar type of company in a different commodity with massive reserves check out KP2 - with a MOU RNS released this morning. DYOR.
Low point for the day? More buyers should come in at .42
Then check out KP2 MOU!
Indeed this is not 88e - thank goodness! Have you checked the 88e price today?
Massive news!
