I'm now, after 13 horrid years here, simply praying that it can hit 50 by year-end (I'm not at all confident of that though). I will then sell my substantial six-figure holding here and never look back. I have developed an intense dislike, for being an investor in Lloyds Banking Group Plc shares. It SUCKS

I wonder how many days in 2024 that this share has risen? Five? Six? Four? A truly woeful effort either way...

I might be completely wrong here, but I do not for one minute think that he will come in at £200m when today, the company is valued at only £40m. Far too much of an uplift; crazy valuation, in my opinion. But he 'might' shoot for double (c.£80m or c.80p a share) or double+ like c.£100m (or c.£1 a share)? I'd rip his arm off and sell on the day for £1. No problemo . . .

Relax folks. If the proverbial 'cat was out of the bag' then the share price would be on the march right now (even 'just in anticipation' of something afoot), as the City would be all over it - instantly. It's another proverbial 'storm in a tea-cup' for me! Back to Sleep . . .

40p is holding, it seems. It's an important psychological number and we need to remain at or above it. Intriguing prospect in play here with a variety of view-points as to how it might pan-out. That has to be a good thing, as we certainly won't all be right - and we certainly won't all be wrong!

Let's hope this isn't taking JD's eye off the 'Sales' ball and that staff morale isn't being adversely affected. Understandably, they will be worried about losing their jobs, with possible (well, very likely we hope) store closures. We do need product sales to keep up at least with what has gone before, or we might find ourselves in a spot of bother at the next update. These things are always a distraction - from those at the Top, to those at the Bottom. . . .

The more folk stare at this, the more they will be liable to distort the facts. At a subconscious level it will play games with your mind! I for one, simply cannot see any reason at all for JD to rush into anything here. The longer it drifts, the lower the share price will go. No other parties will rush into anything either. Next week is the very earliest that anything might materialise - assuming 'anything' does materialise that is! Who knows; but they (whoever 'they' ends up being), will find the cheapest route possible - fair means or foul. A vanilla cash offer may well not be that 'cheapest' route. Will sculduggery prevail here!? . . . .#funandgames! 🫣 ATB

Most people only articulate what they 'hope' will happen i.e massive news tomorrow, take-over etc. but rarely post what they 'think' will actually happen - because both narratives are rarely the same!! That's why these boards are so dangerous; especially for the inexperienced. They tend to get sucked in by the dishonest rampers, who ply their trade in abundant numbers. Do your own research then cross your fingers, as nothing on the Stock Market is ever 100% and anything 'can' happen . . . .

It's certainly is not behaving as though anything is imminent this week at least. It needs to hold above 40p though. . . .

Well done Fenlli. 190% is a very good return and it's now locked in. These kind of FTSE100 companies don't come along that often, so everyone should sell, when it suits them. We all have different tolerances and who knows what lies ahead here? Enjoy your cash and don't go blowing it all, on some crazy AIM listed penny share, cos you'll go and lose it all!!! (well, 90% of the time you will) ATB

....yes the product is pretty good, but the stores are a retail horror show - with horrid footfall to match! They are always very empty. But that is pretty straight forward (he says!!) to solve, when you have a quality product - as SDRY has. I find that the stores are far too dark, far too cramped and with far too much product out on display. To me that lacks confidence. They just 'look and feel' like a street market stall; but those days for JD are long gone, so he needs to jettison that look asap. This CAN be turned around, I'm quite sure - but who will it be, that takes up that mantle? Time will tell. . . .

Knowbodyyouknow - precisely what I was alluding too before the market opened this morning. It is not a Slam Dunk this by any stretch as JD has 'options' - which may, or may not, result is folk making money here. He has options. . . ATB

It's not a certainty. If JD walks away then others will take fright too I suspect. Then the share price will fall by 50%+. . . we just have to hope that the due-diligence process being undertaken = "yes, let's do it". ATB
