Yes, Barclays' results are distinctly lack lustre. I'm pretty surprised at just how pooor they are really. We will get sucked in a bit, but I expect Lloyds' results to be far better; so hopefully we can recoup any potential falls that may occur today? 🤞

It's the debt that will be the tricky bit for SDRY. Others, assuming they materialise, will use that debt as leverage, to keep any offer far lower than people are dreaming of here. The DEBT is key here. . .for both sides of the table. ATB

Yes, however much you have put into this, it's always best to remain objective and un-biased. 'Bias Truly Blinds' - and is usually very expensive, when investing your own hard-earned cash. At present, the Market clearly does not think that JD taking this private is a slam dunk. 32.43p (and falling), to buy six figures worth, with Barclays now. Why are folk so fixated on a CVA here? Maybe they will do a cash raise instead? It literally could be any one, of four or five very viable options, that are open to the BoD and/or JD. Literally anything 'could' happen yet. Meanwhile Rolls Royce continues to fly; up just shy of 200% in one year now. Fantastic Investment.

Toffers - we know it is very high quality stuff. You're missing (or choosing to ignore!?) my key point - which is not about 'quality' (very good) but about 'demographic' (not so good). This is what SDRY has lost - its key historical followership - the Kids. Sell it to one and you have probably sold 'it' to another 20 in that kids' class!! And so on and so on. The snowball gathers. M&S is fine, but nowhere near enough to hugely impact the 'top- line' for SDRY I would suggest. . .

Idris Elba is an 'old' man! I know, I know - he's 'only' 51 - BUT!! They need the kids back, buying their gear and they don't shop in M&S much either! Predominantly, middle-aged folk do - just like Idris Elba! Therein lies the rub for JD. "How do we solve a problem like Superdry"?!!!

JD will do WHATEVER JD's incredibly highly paid Advisers advice him to do!! If it ends up that he is best advised to do a CVA then he WILL do that; despite whatever he might have said in the past to the contrary. He WILL do it, if that is the cheapest option - which it may or not be! My point is, that JD will be brutal here if it saves him £20m+ (for example); be very certain on that. Meanwhile, as I said over two weeks ago, the wait will continue here.

PS yes it was open in December as I was in it then! BUT it says "Store now permanently Closed" on their site and is no longer listed or showing on the Bicester Village Map site. So that leads me to conclude it shut at the end of December or in January. It's a good thing too, as it needs to shut many many more stores if it is to have any chance of surviving on the high street. . . which it may well not be intending to do (i.e. on-line offering only perhaps going forwards)??
