Toffers - We are talking about Superdry Plc here, not Holland Cooper. I know that HC store at Bicester Village very well and unlike SDRY it is always always full - SDRY was always totally empty and very un-inviting ! HC will thrive there, no doubt about it (perhaps even expand there). Have a good day 😃

You are well-intentioned I'm quite sure, but I feel that your 'audience' here, are maybe asking for a little less from you each day? You post on, and stare at this share, every minute of the day! You are making the classic mistake of being 'emotionally invested' here; which always clouds ones' judgement and is never a good thing. First lesson in this game is: 'put your money in, but not your emotion'. And it is so true!

In fact, you said to someone in an earlier post, this evening:- "You're a trader not an investor".

Now, for what it's worth, I personally don't think that anyone has "invested" here, as you put it. This is a straight up "gamble"- no ifs, no buts. Nobody "invests" at the table in a Casino - they "gamble", which is exactly what SDRY has become right now. It's a game at a Casino table!

However, if you want an "Investment", then might I suggest that you "invest" in Rolls Royce Plc.

It has way, way more potential, will let you sleep at night - and is an "investment"and not a straight up, penny share "gamble" . . . #justsaying! ATB 🤑

Personally, I don't see any funny stuff going on. It's just the normal movements of a share. It will ALWAYS go down as well as up. If it goes down for five days, it's simply consolidating - unless of course 'real' news had caused it to fall - which it hasn't. So folks, go with the flow a bit more and stop reading something (which 99% is not happening!) into every movement of every trading day!

Enjoy the rise and expect a few pot-holes along the road. After all it's a UK listed company, so there HAVE to be at least a few nasty pot-holes en-route to £4!! Have a stress-free day. . . ATB

Pernix - here is the next line, which is almost more interesting. Ignore the numbers. It is, for me at least, more about the fact that one is a "Buy" and the other now cut to only a "Hold"

They raise RR & cut BAE to Hold. Both compete in the same space; there is much overlap.

Rr101 - I personally will be pretty surprised if this doesn't close the day out, in positive territory. I just reckon that the FTSE has enough in it today, to carry us long with it. No guarantees of course, but given how far this has fallen back in the last few days, I reckon folk will view it as a buying opportunity right now. Fingers crossed for that outcome anyway. . . ATB

To you Toffers and hope that today pans out better than yesterday. I suspect that there is a large over-hang of shares out there at present. The risk was always here and I have done my best (despite being a holder myself), to alert people to that risk. I am still holding, but I feel that time may not be on our side. Nobody is going to rush into this and in that period of dead time, we could see the tide move further out yet. Who knows? Either way, yesterday was certainly a taste of the reality that being invested in SDRY holds for us. So folks, please be kind to each other today, as being unpleasant just isn't very nice and serves no purpose. Don't write disingenuous stuff aimed at fooling people or deliberately trying to upset them, as again, it's just an unpleasant cheap thing to do. Thanks and have a good day. ATB 🤠

PI_Winner - how funny! I was thinking, "I'm sure I know this person from some other Board"! Out of interest, who was right and who was wrong? I am so long out of Darktrace (thank God!), that I have no idea what you are alluding to! I bailed and stuck the lot on Rolls Royce. Total fluke, but completely erased my losses on Darktrace and have now made nearly 4 x more (not skill, just a fluke). ATB

'Could', 'might', 'hopefully', 'maybe', are more appropriate words to use, in my opinion. Certainly not "The initial bid will be £1+". . . None of us can possibly say that here, with that kind of certainty. We are just a bunch of amateurs, so we have zero idea what 'might' be offered. Sorry, but we just don't; and that bit I can say with a good deal of certainty!!!

That said, I also very much 'hope' that any offer 'might' be 80p to £1+ 🫣

My final post, but yes, 'if' it happens and it's JD alone, then I have c.85p as my figure (realistic and not silly). 'If' others join in, then somewhere between 85p and £1.25p (maximum). They just will not over-pay for SDRY. They'd rather let it go into Administration if needs be, then pick it up for peanuts, close the stores and make it a 100% on-line offering. Just my view, but obviously having further invested yesterday, I'd far prefer route one! ATB

I also added to my holding yesterday, but didn't post here at all, as the Board yet again turned into a silly, cheap comic - and nowhere near as good as Beano. Perhaps too many with too much spare time on their hands? 🤔 This board has been pretty awful lately like most LSE Boards are. Full of odd characters.

Look, this share is risky, make no mistake. As a result, I have no problem with both positive and negative, as everybody is going to be either right or wrong here, in just a couple of weeks time; so all views must be respected. It's just a matter of articulating them in a respectful and intelligent manner. That's sadly, where things go very pear-shaped, so often on these Boards.

The way I see it is this: You will either have made a lot - OR - You will have lost a lot (65/35 in the holders' favour in my opinion). 🫣

I said that there would be no news this week and so it proved. I don't expect anything next week either and nor does the Market, which is why they have firmly anchored the share at this price-point. Once they 'hear' of anything, you WILL know. It will either rise sharply or fall off a cliff. Pays your money. Takes your choice.

Gary59 - nothing wrong with that at all if you're happy with a return of c.6%. I'm not personally (and am also not old!). BUT I'm up over 110% in Rolls Royce, just since July 2023....that kind of figure is much more my bag. Chasing dividends is often a very expensive (albeit safe) distraction for people, when they can make SO much more, with an actual share price rise of 40% - for example! Risk v Reward!!
