Goodness me. When I think back to the four times that I averaged UP here! Thinking 'should I be doing this; it totally goes against the grain averaging UP'!!?

Because this share has many negatives, that's why. It's a huge gamble which by definition, suggests a large slice of downside risk. That's 100% fine. It is what it is. I am invested here too, but I am also experienced enough to know that it ain't only sweet smelling roses either. Relax a bit, as we are all invested. Those that aren't? Well who cares?! None of us matter here - share price wise. None of us can possible affect any outcomes, so go with it a bit more. You'll have a bleedin heart attack before you can enjoy the rewards!!

Toffers I meant 'independent' of JD NOT working with him, in alliance with him, having talks with him, joint consortium with him, blah, blah, blah. I would like to have seen a PE throw their hat in, for example. At present all we have is JD + someone or something else. That's not going to make us as much money here, in my opinion. Anyway, play nice and quit the passive aggressive posts to anyone who doesn't meet your highly biased narrative. . . and we all therefore work for GSA Capital, as compared to you, we all have "lowish posting counts" here!! Bacchusli - I actually don't have a problem with what you are writing, despite it not suiting my personal narrative here. Everyone is right and everyone is wrong, at present. However, what does concern me is that nobody else has expressed an interest here. That means no 'bidding war' as many fairy-tale rampers were banging on about three weeks ago! It just worries me a bit, that all our chips are still on JD alone here and that's leaving us all a little bit exposed. . .back to work now. Over and Out

Yes, it's been very easy to buy shares every day here and I 100% agree that there is no lack of available stock out there. BUT if something juicy 'were' to land, then there will be an almighty scrum for them. Hard to know what will happen here it really is; quite impossible to second-guess this one.

Could be 80p in March/April - Could be 20p! I'm not going to be greedy. If it were to hit 80p I'd sell and run. . .

Lloyds sets aside £450m for FCA motor finance probe

John Moore, Senior Investment Manager at RBC Brewin Dolphin:

'It’s another steady set of results from Lloyds, with profits in line with forecasts for the quarter and full year. 'The bank, like many of its UK peers, is on a path of cost control and robust trading, underpinning its ability to return capital to shareholders. The £450million set aside to cover a regulatory probe into historic car finance issues is the one fly in the ointment in an otherwise relatively upbeat update. 'Longer term, there are strategic questions for Lloyds to consider – such as its plans for Scottish Widows – but for now the bank is in a good position and performing well.' END

Rolls 'continues to benefit from sector-wide tailwinds like a huge backlog of plane orders and pent-up consumer demand for travel'

'Rolls Royce’s full-year results capped off a stellar year for the FTSE 100’s top performer of 2023. Underlying operating profit and free cash flow came in well ahead of prior guidance, helping to fuel positive sentiment around this engine-maker. 'Heading into the new year, the group continues to benefit from sector-wide tailwinds like a huge backlog of plane orders and pent-up consumer demand for travel, meaning there’s set to be more of the group’s market-leading engines on wings. Given that a large chunk of its revenue comes from servicing those engines, with business based on how long those engines spend in the air, investors should be pleased to see so-called engine flying hours (EFH) rise to 88% of 2019 levels last year. That figure’s set to soar to new heights this year, with the group expecting EFH to hit 100-110% of 2019 levels.

'The group’s mid-term guidance, which lays out targets for 2027, now looks well within reach. By this point, annual operating profits are expected to climb to a £2.5-2.8bn range, with the main driver of this being much higher margins in its Civil Aerospace division. Now it's back in positive free cash flow territory, Rolls has made good headway in pushing debt lower. That will strengthen the balance sheet and adds weight to market expectations for a reinstatement of the dividend later this year.' END

Retirement_Plan - An auction market is one where buyers and sellers enter competitive bids simultaneously. The price at which a stock trades represents the highest price that a buyer is willing to pay and the lowest price that a seller is willing to accept. So, effectively, they slog it out for five minutes, until they arrive at an 'agreed' price (an opening price in this case). Obviously in volatile situations (like a juicy RNS causing mass buying and selling), auctions can take place throughout the trading day ......

I'm thinking that the results will be really good, as I've heard that Rolls Royce Plc have sold a lot of cars in the last twelve months and that their cars are really great. . . 😂 🤣 😅

JD is good, but at present we only have him. One iron in one fire so to speak. It would be great if another party could throw their name in the ring - and then watch this share really start to fly. At present, we're a little exposed, but 'hopefully' an offer will be forthcoming with JD (hopefully!). Another bidder would really mix things up though and make this a far more likely bet, to actually get over the line - hence why the share would really fly with that kind of news. . . ATB
