When you look at the deals going through the market in recent days including today its seems likely to me that the market makers are going to be short of stock and will have to increase the price of Sylvania Platinum shares in order to attract more sellers. Do other shareholders see it that way I am wondering?

Thank you Quiggers 52 and BP at 890 for your thoughts regarding the respective share price valuations of Sylvania Platinum and Valterra Platinum. Sylvania Platinum is by far my largest shareholding as I have a significant though not a notifiable shareholding in the company so I do like to keep my shareholding under review. I think it would be a good idea for the company to commence another share buy back scheme with the price being at these comparative low levels.

Does anybody see any reason why the performance of the shares in Valterra Platinum is vastly superior to the share price performance in Sylvania Platinum as none of this makes any sense to me?

The dividend is payable on Friday not tomorrow. We would have been relegated without any points deduction as you probably know. We need to avoid any further points deduction for next season. WAWAW.

In my view after these excellent results the current share price is not an accurate reflection of fair value for this company. I am considing if that is a good situation or not because it means that as funds allow we can pick up shares more cheaply than I would have expected to have been the case.

Has the company informed shareholders when these results will be announced to the London Stock Exchange? We certainly need good results in order to give the share price a boost after several rocky days.

We have amazing away support do we not however I now live in Florida for most of the football season so I don't have much opportunity to join my Facebook friend Tango. WAWAW. I am currently travelling around several cities in the USA being in Atlanta at present. I feel sure that my shares in Sylvania Platinum will perform better than my shares in Sheffield Wednesday which became worthless a few years ago.

I was very pleased that Black Rock sold over 1% of their holding recently because it gave me the opportunity to buy back into the company though it took me nearly three weeks to purchase over three million shares. Sadly just like my football team Sheffield Wednesday I have run out of cash so I wont be buying anymore shares in the company anytime soon.

On the surface I agree that the drop in the share price today seems excessive when the contents of the trading update is considered. However we need to consider that only one month ago the share price for Ramsdens was in the region of 320-325p so the share price has run up considerably in a short period of time. I therefore don't consider the current share price to be too low. If my memory is correct I believe that the market has rated Ramsdens on a PE of around ten so I consider the current share price to be fair not least because the gold price cannot keep going up like this for ever and also its likely in recent weeks that some of the purchases in Ramsdens were from shareholders in H&T who were reinvesting their money from the takeover in H&T in Ramsdens shares.

I agree 100% with every word that you are saying what we don't know is just how high the price of platinum etc will be in the coming months and years. One analyst wrote that he thought platinum not gold would be the first of these two metals to reach the price of four thousand dollars an ounce. Just imagine if that was the case the profits that Sylvania Platinum would be making. We must remember that it is only in recent years that the price of gold has been higher than the price of platinum. Its hard to justify that being the case when we consider the scarcity of platinum compared to gold and its various industrial uses.

I am in total agreement with you regarding the share price of Ramsdens Holdings so I took some profits and reinvested the money in Sylvania Platinum which is up over 15% since I invested in it three or four weeks ago. I would be interested to know your thoughts about that company.

All I can say is that I followed his advice a couple of years ago to sell my significant holding in Sylvania Platinum at various prices in the seventies and I was pleased that I followed his postings. I reinvested elsewhere including Ramsdens Holdings and I was pleased that I did do so. I then believed it was time to reinvest in Sylvania Platinum once again and it took me three weeks to do so because of the limited liquidity in this share paying an average price of just below seventy seven pence a share. As far as I can see it this share has massive potential both in terms of the share price and the level of dividend payments.

In fairness what he was saying a couple of years ago was accurate and I sold my significant holding in Sylvania Platinum after reading his postings. However I agree with you it would be nice to hear from him again because everything has changed in my view there is no limit to where this share will be in a couple of years.

Thank you for the positive posting about the likely results in 2026 for Sylvania Platinum what you said encouraged me today to add to my holding in Sylvania Platinum.

Thanks for the mention I think it would be fair to say that as much as you can ever be certain about any investment in shares this is going to go up in price surely the question is by how much will the increase in price be over the next year or so. I picked up a few more this morning so my holding is now over three million shares which if as predicted the dividend for 2026 is seven pence and for 2027 is nine pence. I will be able to buy mushy peas with my fish and chips!!!!LOL.
