After reading postings by Bangrak plus Nickthesaint11 plus others on this board I have just purchased 5000 shares in Altyngold at 1050p which was slightly more than the offer price at the time. Thanks for the postings on this board as it made up my mind to become a shareholder in this company.

I take it that you would invest my SLP dividend in ALTN is that correct. I asked Bangrak because his advice in the past has made me a lot of money.

As you are aware a dividend is due to be paid next week by Sylvania Platinum of which we are both shareholders. Please may I ask you at the current share price do you consider SLP or ALTN to be the better investment decision. After your recent postings on both boards I cannot make my mind up whether to invest my substantial dividend in SLP or ALTN.

I better not start on Trump where I have strong views not least because I live in Florida for nearly half the year so I see what he is doing to some people and their healthcare. Jaco reacted to Trump starting a war with Iran as he sold some of his shares shortly after the war started. You are of course correct to buy shares when the price is down and sentiment is low. Nice to converse with you but I must return to my book and sun lounger in the garden.

Thank you for your thoughts re investing in Sylvania Platinum. As mentioned in a recent RNS they have been buying some shares in relation to some of their employees after paying 115p for these shares it would be surprising to me if they did not announce a further buy back scheme with the share price being so low. I have a feeling that neither of us will regret buying more shares last week at a price in the mid eighties. It looks like Jaco knew what he was doing when he sold a large chunk of his shares at 126.5p per share. Many on this board including myself thought that he had sold those shares too early. At least in the short term we were wrong with that view point. I cannot make up my mind whether to buy more SLP shares with my dividend as I own 1.25% of the company already and I feel I should look elsewhere to reinvest my dividend.

I also was tempted to buy more shares yesterday buying a further 32428 shares at 86.1p. It appears from your recent post that we are both substantial shareholders in the company. Do you plan to invest your dividend in more SLP shares or do you think its best to look elsewhere because of current shareholders also reinvesting their dividend in more SLP shares which would likely cause an increase in the share price,

Yes the dividend will be announced and I would expect it to be paid in the second week of April.

That's an interesting question and I would encourage others on this board to share their opinion regarding this matter. My view for what its worth is that I see this as a long term investment so I would prefer it to remain an independant company rather than accept a good short term profit. Thankfully my holding in this company is in my ISA so CGT is not an issue.

What are you expecting for the interim dividend? My best guess is 3 pence a share. WAWAW.

Thanks for mention. I am very pleased to note that you are a shareholder in Sylvania Platinum because with your knowledge that is a very positive sign for me. I owe you a lot Bangrak because it was due to your postings that I sold all my Sylvania Platinum shares about two years ago at prices at around 75p-80p a share. I invested the proceeds in Ramsdens Holding which doubled in price. I then sold some of them six months ago to get back into Sylvania Platinum at an average price of 77p a share. It took two and a half weeks to complete the purchase. I have no plans to sell any of the shares as I am in for the long term while enjoying the potential dividend payments. I think we have an amazing board with several posters who I rate highly including you of course.

I sold my shares in Sylvania Platinum a couple of years ago after reading your postings but I am now a shareholder once again. Please may I ask you are you a shareholder in Sylvania Platinum or do you still have doubts about the company on a the long term basis.

Thank you for your interesting posting I believe that the company has said that they expect to pay out at least 40% of their earnings in dividends if so we are probably looking at a dividend of around 10pence for the year. The company has said that they would pay out one third of the dividend as an interim dividend and two thirds as a final dividend. Is that going to happen this year I am wondering because as things stand the earnings per shares for the last two quarters are likely to be much higher than the first two quarters. Perhaps the company may decide to pay out a significant special dividend with their final dividend. Does anybody else have any thoughts regarding this matter. My best guess to answer an earlier question is for an interim dividend of about 3 pence a share.

I would be very surprised if it was anything approaching that figure but with my significant shareholding in the company I can dream!!!!LOL.

I was a shareholder for forty years in SWFC but having part ownership of a football club is not a good investment. I must admit to giving some thought to what the dividend in SLP will be in future years I have seen twelve pence a share mentioned if so I have to ask myself why I am still turning right and not left on a plane when flying twice a year to the USA. WAWAW.

It is only for just over ten years that the price of gold has exceeded the price of platinum. There were numerous reasons including its scarcity and industrial uses why the market considered platinum to be more valuable than gold. I am wondering if in due course platinum will once again be valued by the market at a higher price than gold and if so what the share price of Sylvania Platinum would be if and when that happens. It is going to be interesting to see what the share price will be when the market opens on Monday morning if the price of platinum keeps on going up which has been the case since the market closed at mid day on Christmas Eve.

I am not too sure that S6 Massive will mean a lot to most shareholders of SLP. WAWAW.
