The earlier mention of the 'director' share sales last May does raise some concerns in my mind as to why there has not been significant 'director' share purchases with the share price being at such low levels since the numerous profit warnings were issued. I believe there has been just one purchase of shares last summer and that was not comparable in size to the two 'director' share sales. Is there more bad news to come I am wondering or is it a case that the board of directors are refraining from dealing in the shares because of the previous well deserved bad publicity in respect of the perception of insider dealing. It is for others to judge if the word perception is needed in terms of these share deals.

I am not lending out my million plus shares I am here in Southern Florida with my Wednesday shirt on following the game against Derby County. Just like many on this board I am a long term investor and I hope that in time the positive views of bonum and silver wolf will be proved correct they certainly have been accurate in the short term.

I note your comment about having some knocks from some people on this board over the last few months and the same could be said of bonum. I would be interested to hear from posters such as downthepit to give just one name to see if they believe that the share price of Lamprell will fall in the coming months or if not are they prepared to admit that their view of the company was wrong. I always appreciate postings from people such as yourself because I believe you are involved in the industry.

I only hope that if you are correct that any takeover comes with a share as well as a cash offer as I have a quarter of a million shares in PZ Cussons purchased at an average price of around 33p when the ten for one split is taken into account. I dont want to even think about the CGT liability if it was a cash offer. It does look like something is happening however as I see no reason for such a share price movement in recent days.

Thanks for your recent posting my views for what they are worth are exactly the same as yours. Please keep up your great postings and if I may say so you have been proved correct time and time again. Have you noted that several posters who were predicting further significant falls in the share price for Lamprell have not been seen on this board in recent weeks.

Thanks for that information I myself am kicking myself for not selling as soon as the two 'directors' sold a significant amount of shares in early May last year. I still dont know how they were allowed to the that by the company.

That must be an error as the share price fell approx six pence yesterday and never hit 225p. Are you talking about my friend Edan by the way with regards to your name?

Thank you for that information and just for the record I have been a shareholder in Lamprell since 2008 and after selling some shares in March 2011 my current shareholding is over 1.1 million shares. Hence I hope that bonum is correct with his long term prediction of four pounds a share.

It is a fact that prior to the first profit warning in the middle of May that this board sometimes went for a week or more without any postings and 95% of those postings were from myself, Wobbly, Chimpchoker,Sense and OilyPete. Have most of the new posters may I ask only become shareholders since May last year or were you like myself long term holders who did not post on this board? Any responses to my question would be much appreciated if only to satisfy my curiosity.

I think you make a fair point with your posting and I also was a little disappionted with the trading update especially when you consider that they will surely be as positive as possible. As I said earlier my feeling is that we are not out of the woods yet with regards to the debt situation and perhaps there is a lack of confidence in the company from potential clients which could be the reason for the lack of contract wins in recent months.

I am in agreement with your comment and as far as I can see as posted on the interactive investor board we are still not out of the woods yet in terms of the debt restructuring. As always I hope that you are correct bonum with your positive long term view of the company. We have heard next to nothing recently from the posters such as down the pit who feel that the share price is going to fall much lower. Is there anybody out there who still feels that this is the case and the shorters will be proved correct in the end? All opinions are valued on this board. Chimpchoker and Silver Wolf I know you have some contact with the company have you any thoughts to add after todays RNS from the company?

I wish I was back in Florida as its 82f so my girlfriend tells me but I am freezing cold like the rest of you as after spending October, November and most of December there I had to come back for a few weeks so not to upset US immigration.At least it gives me the chance to see the Owls on sky TV tonight and in person against Wolves next saturday Bonum I am pleased to note that you also feel that this has much further to go.

Its amazing since May 2012 just how many new contributors we have had on this board as for years 90% of the postings were from you and I plus Chimpchoker,Oily Pete and Sense.

Thank you for taking the time to update readers of this board with information about your recent correspondance with the company secretary of Lamprell. Your knowledge and posts are appreciated by the vast majority who read and contribute to this board and none more so than myself because of my significant shareholding in this company.

I think we will look back at today's news as the turning point for Lamprell the bank waivers being granted were perhaps the biggest issue for me. Its easy to forget that this share has something of a volatile history with highs of around 560p just over four and a half years ago followed by lows of around 60p in March 2009. We then shoot up again to around 400p in the summer of 2011 only to be followed by recent lows of around 60p. I see no reason why this share should not get back to 400p in the future. Lets hope that my optimism is not ill judged. Good luck to all and especially my friend Wobbly.
