I do agree that Campdens posts have been interesting and informative which is why I have asked more than once if he will give us at least some information regarding his background.

Anything that you hear in the future it would be appreciated by this board however I would appreciate it if you could refrain from the use of the blades word for reasons that some on this board will understand!!!!!!!!

I have always valued your postings so politely may I again ask you what your background is as you do seem to have some knowledge and connections with the industry and yes you are correct that I am much poorer than I was this time last year. However I must not moan as I am off to Florida shortly for most of the winter. I wonder myself why the Chairman has not wielded the axe as somebody should take responsibility for this mess.

Thank you for your posting addressed to the old timers on this board and I believe everything that you say is correct especially about the lack of directors share buys and management changes. I feel my behaviour in not selling at least part of my holding is similar to somebody who had a house valued at 400k and will not accept 113k because 400k was the price last year. I am lucky in the sense no pun intended that because of taking some profits eighteen months ago that my remaining holding is there for no base cost. Sadly I invested my Lamprell share sale money in Coal of Africa which has also tanked and worse still I advised my friend Wobbly(Tony) to follow me down that path.

Thank you for your input over recent months and I especially look forward to reading your observations after next months visit to the company.

Perhaps it is not so much strange that there has been little in the way the directors purchasing shares at these much lower prices I am wondering if worrying would be a more accurate word. I have no inside knowledge of either the industry or the company but several people who have recently started posting on this board and the Interactive Investor board appear to have some inside knowledge and most of what they are saying appears to be negative to me.

As most of you know I have a significant holding in this company but I now have no trust in relation to those in charge and it has come as a major surprise to me that there has been only a change of chairman and not a clear our of directors and senior managers as obviously required by recent events. What if anything is Steve Lamprell doing behind the scenes? I fully undertsand that under takeover rules that Steve Lamprell owns a blocking stake however surely if a bid came in at a significant premium to the current share price then he would at least consider accepting it. The lack of director buys are of a concern to me as to repeat what I said at the time of the infamous share sales in early May what do they know that we dont know? I also have a lot of respect for Camden's postings which was why I respectfully asked him if he would divulge his links with the industry sadly I did not get the sort of response that I had hoped for.

Thank you for your opinion re the future share price of Heritage Oil. I would also say to searcher that nobody made the institutions go short of stock they attempted to take advantage of the situation and got their fingers burnt. However I do accept that it is not a good idea to upset the powerful in the city. Anyway for once the little people such as ourselves are doing quite nicely thank you.

Thank you taking my cheap shot with good humour. I actually should be a red as I was born and bred and spent most of life living in South Manchester. Anyway I know next to nothing about Heritage oil and followed a tip in Moneyweek magazine to pick up around 45000 shares at 125p just before the price suspension so my question if I may ask you and searcher is what do you think is a fair price target for this share and over what period are we talking about in your view. PZ Cussons is of course a superbly run company and has been a fantastic long term investment for me.However owning shares should in my opinion be an issue of seeking value especially in relation to the PE ratio. I believe the shares are now too expensive on a PE ratio of 25 but I am reluctant to take my profits because of the significant CGT liability. The Times were talking nonsense in relation to always being on a PE ratio in the twenties. When I purchased my shares in the company in the late 1990's the company was on a low PE of around seven and was called Paterson Zochonis.

I know you contribute to the Lamprell board so I find it interesting that you also own shares in PZ Cussons. What a fantastic long term investment it has been with this company. I am up well over 1000% on my investment excluding dividends since becoming a shareholder over twelve years ago. It is my third largest holding after Lamprell and Coal of Africa. Are you aware that FT contributer and former minister John Lee has this as one of his largest holdings. I believe that this is a share to hold rather than buy at the present level though Paul Hill in Moneyweek magazine thought it was a sell a few months back because of its lofty rating on 20 times forward earnings. I would not dream of selling in part because of my CGT liability on my holding of 250000 shares.

It looks like the price will go up tomorrow after the announcement to the stock exchange of a potential offer for the company.

I think you earlier post to mannnan is fair and balanced. I followed your advice to buy shares in this company and so far both of us are in a loss making situation but thats the risk we take when investing in shares. I appreciate your advice and guidence as do the vast majority of investors who read the LSE boards. I only wish I had taken your advice to buy CHAR at 35p in February. I must one day buy shares in CHAR myself. Please keep your posts coming on these boards.

I have just purchased a further 25000 shares in MOG this morning at 22.5p. I now have 100000 shares and I will probably leave my holding at that figure. I thought that there was an interesting post on MOG on the interactive board this weekend.

I thank you for your advice to buy shares in this company and following your advice today I have purchased seventy five thousand shares which are not showing up at the present time due to the size of the deal.
