I just can't see a rise into spud now and if TE-9 fails then we'll be dropping off new lows.

I know Timster it's frustrating that we're left guessing again albeit with the juiciest of juicy carrots dangling just out of reach, don't want to speak to soon but at least todays trading looks a little healthier.

I was just pondering over Zaza's comments in the last RNS. It is clearly implied that the further extended production testing is due to the "technical and commercial discussions with industry majors". Now supposing we have some decent figures which could have been issued on Monday but for the NDA's then surely we would have seen a steady increase in the SP perhaps to where we are now. The overarching criticism which hangs over FRR (no flow rates) seemingly in perpetuity would have been dispelled and I for one would have been happy. Now if talks with the majors do come off then I'm going to be delirious but isn't this typical FRR - just as we're within grasp of some stability the bar has to be suddenly raised into the stratosphere and we're a speculators paradise for the foreseeable future! Not trying to get under anyone's skin, just thought there was a certain irony to the weeks events.

(Re. "Not Cricket") Quite true Dulwichman, you need more than a technically correct forward defensive to defend against a Novichok attack. All very 2nd XI if you ask me. Seriously though some interesting points made yesterday on the news about the relative professionalism of the possible assailants, I really don't know who to believe in all this (if anyone) but would a state assassin really enter and exit the country directly from and back to Moscow?

Agreed WTD success will be a huge endorsement of the seismic and surely SOU will finally get an offer that they want to put to the shareholders. My private guesstimates in that scenario have risen significantly but as ever we're carrying the risk, but the potential rewards... oh my days!

I think to be fair if TE-9 failed the market would not be forgiving on the mathematical COS across the three wells. In fact it would be viewed as something of a body blow to the seismic programme at the first hurdle. Personally I think that's what is holding the SP back. On the plus side it's clear that a well can rarely have been more meticulously planned than TE-9 and I have faith in the team, for the record I have been accumulating but aware of the risk should the three well programme get off to a shocker #lookslikeIpickedthewrongquartertoquitsniffingglue

Don't forget that at TE-6 and TE-7 the market reacted positively to the completion of drilling when gas shows, amount of pay etc were reported then there's the flare (hopefully) which will cause all sorts of excitement long before testing is completed. All I'm saying is if TE-9 is a roaring success folk hoping to pop back at the end of testing will have long missed the boat. On the flip side should it fail they will have dodged a bullet, awkward isn't it.

I quite agree Jack but it's as if the SP is held at the centre of the dial with the implications of success or failure providing an equal force in this range (well it made sense to me). In other news it seems CORO's CEO has an appetite for buying shares but I don't want to start something there!

Must admit to being bemused by the SP action recently. There seems to be absolutely zero excitement in this build up to such a critical drill. I do wonder if the implications (short term) to the SP in the event of failure at TE-9 make an investment at this stage for new money something of a gamble. I know that we LTH's can reference our existing discovery and the three well programme etc but for someone on the sidelines I guess it just looks like a 50-50 play on the outcome of TE-9. Noting Coro's news today I wonder what Lombards see in Coro that they don't in Sound, the lack of new institutions coming on board over the years has always been my biggest nagging doubt here. Not trying to wind anyone up just airing my feelings and interested in others thoughts.

Agreed ODR especially as being able to buy below the mid-price is indicative of a weak market. It's like they want their buy to immediately look expensive, don't fret everyone all good here.

I think it would be healthier for everyone to accept it's unlikely that without news we'll have a blue day. Rises like Monday's are so rare, particularly across the wider market that it's almost impossible. We have had some fantastic news so everyone would do well to relax and not waste their day in slanging matches with derampers. Over the years I've read contributions from these posters across a wide range of stocks and I've rarely seen any credible evidence that they're anything other than speculators looking for a better entry point ranging to utter cranks who like winding people up. No doubt there are genuine shorters out there but any well researched short will know the risk profile is so heavily in investors favour now that shorting FRR is incredibly risky as one RNS could wipe them out.

I know there's nothing to be read into this necessarily but just to change the subject does anyone else think the site looks a lot bigger than the previous Morocco ops? Maybe it's just a wider angle webcam.

Just for balance CF73 don't forget that over 500,000,000 came onto the register in Feb at 0.466 after our 2017 highs but I do agree if we have weathered the storm of profit taking this morning it's an absolutely massive buy signal for anyone on the sidelines, so much risk taken out of the equation with yesterday's RNS.

Well if nothing else we've found a new way not to disclose flow rates! Only joking folks this is sensational news and completely took me by surprise. Ignore those trying to belittle the negotiations, as has already been pointed out there are strict rules surrounding such announcements and all sides lawyers will have been all over the RNS. Stressed out investors like myself can relax now as barring natural or political disaster this is now just a question of how good.

MK no I'm honestly not bothered at all I was just making a joke about being all 'bah-humbug'. My only serious point about all the festivities is that we're in danger of getting ahead of ourselves again but honestly I'm enjoying the wave of optimism while remaining cautious.
