We do sell a bit of silver as well, and that's going nuts. In 2019 56,568oz from hard-rock mines at US$15/oz. Silver has just scorched passed US$20/oz, every little helps!

ChrI5P, it's a slightly controversial subject around here but I think most LTH's realise they invested here way too soon. I've certainly learnt a lot about the cash requirements and timeframes to bring an explorer to the point where you can demonstrate the economics of what can actually be sold. In mitigation when the SP was well over 0.1 heading to 0.2 there was an opportunity to raise significant funds which was missed and the rest is history. I actually don't think we're quite out of the woods on risks, I'm nervous about Cadmium and Mercury plus some hydrology to tick off but in a way we've hopefully ridden out the biggy. Prior to CV I think everyone was concerned about a global recession anyway and the virus has now brought it about in a massive shockwave. Hopefully the unprecedented global action will limit the pain and the metal recovery has been impressive, silver - astonishing!

Let's hope it will be Brikz. Interesting that Chri5p mentions EUA. I have a little bit of that and although the SP is strong there and miserable at EUZ I'm genuinely more confident that EUZ will deliver multiples of our mcap compared to where EUA are now. Chri5p I'd be interested to know how long you have tracked EUZ before buying?

We'll look out for your notification if you buy some more Chri5p. Your holding easily eclipses mine though it's probably a sad reflection on the SP performance since I first invested that if all my purchases were made now I would certainly have to make a declaration. I haven't dared work it out. On a lighter note I can recommend Carry On Follow That Camel purely for the hilarity that they obviously filmed much of it on a UK beach, from memory you can clearly see that they're freezing half the time.

I don't think the publication of the Russia Report will have helped, just puts the risk of Russian stocks up half a notch. On top of the boardroom battle I thinks its going to weigh for a while - so frustrating!

The reason I'm having a bit of fun with Viking is just to point out that you can't fault what has happened in the field in 2020. The market hasn't rewarded us for operational success because of the terrible equity raise last year. The blame for that is firmly at the door of our Board including LR. I've had a bit more info on why it ended up being so bad, you can probably put 2&2 together from events later last year (when Viking was still a cheeky chappy) but it doesn't excuse the company from failing to protect shareholders interests even if they were put between a rock and a hard place.

Bobby, LR has already stated the the cost of delisting on JSE is punitively high in our current cash position, also and more importantly we don't want Brikz cast into limbo :)

I know I do bang on about the silver but we really could be in an incredible sweet spot here. There was always the safe haven side, and the medical antimicrobial properties which can only get more significant but I wasn't aware there was such a range of industrial applications to Ag. Solar panels perhaps being one of the more exciting with carbon targets biting. $2B is some naughty step Brookers! Whatever the final bill plus fines come to, I think cash will be an issue at Nornickel for the foreseeable. I have heard of speculation about stock swaps elsewhere in possible acquisitions, could that be a possibility here? Not something I know much about.

Old news? Er no not really, it happened in May but the costs of the cleanup will go for years (eg. processing contaminated subsoils) and the financial implications are unknown because of further financial penalties. Just out of interest Folio what do you think I'm trying to do? I hold here but I think Nornickel are a wounded giant at the moment. Plenty of other contenders but we have to accept that the most obvious candidate is probably out of the picture unfortunately IMO.
