Bobby I think it was eight years ago that the protestant population fell below 50% in NI. Little Englanders are going to start feeling increasingly isolated, sorry. Sorry CHRI5P I wrote my last message without seeing your 10:19 post. I don't think Scotland's independent finances are the deal breaker, the last vote was close and next time I think it's only going one way. Ideologically if choosing a pathway to remain in the EU they will be sheltered by a bigger power than England. Thanks for engaging in a sensible debate!

I find it quite disturbing that some folk of a frail nature don't think we can touch upon politics on this board - why on earth not? When the right for all people to vote was achieved this sort of public debate was celebrated, indeed treasured. To say that discussing politics should be contained to a Facebook page is one of the most pitiful and tragic reflections of our time. Why not reply to my post with your opinion and explain how you think world affairs could affect the economy and metal prices and ultimately EUZ? You don't seem to get that it this is a discussion board operating in a democratic country, politics and the world situation is relevant to EUZ, I have never told you not to post your opinion just generally disagreed with your position with EUZ which I find odd and on occasions I have agreed with you. Honestly everyone lets keep a rigorous debate going with no fear of causing upset, that's what democracy should be all about.

Hi CHRI5P yes my political opinion expressed as is my right in a free country. I have just read yours and while we're not in agreement I respect your equal right as a citizen / 'subject' to make your point. As for subjective, I don't think you'll find many commentators who don't accept that Brexit has almost certainly sparked a chain of events that will make the case for another Scottish independence vote irresistible, the European issue will likely tip it the Nationalists way. A complex situation in Northern Ireland is now a dreadful mess and what was probably inevitable is being brought to a head at an alarming rate. On Biden I think 'extreme left wing policies' is going too far - but if that's how you see it then it's your right to say so. A good trade deal is looking tougher with the US, the 'special relationship' has been on the wane since Reagan left office. I don't think anyone should apologise for taking the debate onto the macro level as you say it all impacts our economies and individual enterprises. Brexit is sadly very divisive and although I'm against it I accept the result and actually think the Speaker went too far in attempting to block it. However I think it is reasonable to debate the impact even if it is an uncomfortable discussion. Now let's see if we can find some common ground on EUZ. I can't wait for the new economics not just for the figures but what it leads to operationally. We have heard from management and the broker that they will 'inform' the next stages of work so it will be fascinating to see how that translates into a drill strategy. Have we the funds to go forward on two fronts - targeting the central mining zone for more indicated perhaps moving towards a measured resource but also at last exploring where we're open at depth and along strike to the east. When do we start getting nervous about the permit?

Hamster I'm not sure Trump's business credentials are terribly sound to say the least. He inherited a fortune but has eye watering personal debt which it's possible he can't service, watch this space ("Lock her up" could come back to haunt him). Winners under Biden will be US obviously, Ireland with his personal interest in the Good Friday Agreement, mainland Europe as he realigns with climate policy. Losers will be the UK as Boris Johnson puppy dogged up to Trump and his influence will probably see an acceleration of the break up of the UK as precipitated by Brexit. I see a fully independent Scotland in the near term and united Irish Republic within five years, I'm not saying this is a good or a bad thing as I wouldn't want to comment on sovereignty on any nation but I'm sad to see the end of the UK of GB & NI. Extraordinary turn of events, amazing example of the butterfly wing effect when David Cameron thought 'hmm how can we protect the Conservative Party from the threat of UKIP', I know let's have a referendum! What could possibly go wrong....

Just reading on the Reuters feed about how Biden will launch a massive push to get the US carbon neutral. That is going to be huge for silver (solar power) and copper (particularly wind power). Both metals also have a big future in anti bacterial medical surfaces. I'm hoping we might get a strategy on the copper front after the Bara economics, I'm a bit confused as to why it consistently turns up in drilling and we get positive comment from the Exec's on it but no plan to add value.

Grappa I still don't see why you think it won't three bag for three years, don't you see any value in the new economics which are nearly upon us? Turner Pope reckon it should be 34.5p now, yeah I know broker valuations and all that, but at least there is some reasoning in their research note. Nothing wrong with your cautious view but could you share your thinking or is it just a hunch? The difficulty is knowing what discount rate was applied to the calculation in 2018. Put very, very simply a figure for what the mine might produce minus Capex and Opex would then be discounted at a % for the risk of only having inferred and no metallurgy etc. Just how much smaller the discount will be now with all our successful work streams I don't know. One thing to caution is that once we get the new npv it doesn't mean we're worth it as of course we don't have the funds to build the mine. That's where being low Capex becomes very significant as you'll have to give away a smaller amount of the npv to get to production. Whatever it comes out at the mcap is still ridiculous.

Michael this is usually down to Google showing the price as the last trade logged. Don't have L2 but the mid still appears to be 10p. Brikz I don't have time to read the whole SS now but wouldn't they have applied huge risk deductions in 2018 for the lack of a geotechnical study, hydrology and the biggy, metallurgy. I was just speculating that with these nearly complete could there be a slingshot effect on the npv rather than just an incremental rise in line with the indicated resource plus record grades booked earlier this year? I'm also guessing and don't want to raise expectations unrealistically but could we be in a different ballpark?

Philis I'm also definitely no expert but it did include 13m tonnes of silver inferred, the RNS will be March 2019 if you're interested in digging deeper. Silver has already done over 5% again today. In the last SS they used a trailing average Ag price of US$17/oz. looks like US$26 could go today and it nearly touched US$30 in August, of course the trailing average this time will be pulled down a little by the Covid low of US$12 in March. Still seems to be the metal of the moment. Oh and I agree with you on the Capex, I'm sure it was mentioned that the geotechnical work should bring it down. Also seem to remember them saying the ore sorting will also because you can scale down aspects of the plant.

Philis have you got a figure in mind for a new npv? My thoughts have gone from trying to be conservative to wondering if there isn't a case for it to be completely flamin revolutionised. Of course we don't want any disappointment when it finally lands but on the logical basis that we have pretty much proved we have a mine shouldn't it be moving more in line with the value of the resource (minus Capex, Opex, tax etc). Anyone with any past experience or even professional experience of these matters?

Zinc breaking above year highs. Still much uncertainty about but seems like the metals markets are looking ahead to years of rebuilding and unprecedented direct government investment. Interesting how quickly free market principles are ripped up in favour of Keynesian economics in a time of crisis - discuss :)

Well Grappa your first target of stability has been achieved in this 9.5 to 11.5 range with two or three trades a day :) there's nothing happening to move this yet. However I don't get your logic for 15p by the end of next year, why don't you think the new economics (assuming positive) will shift it up? They will crystallise the workstreams of the last 12 months which have been excellent. Ps. I'm being very careful not to upset anyone so my disagreeing with you is not an attempt to silence you I just don't get the logic of your time streams - keep posting!

Finally...... and always risky to comment on the metal markets as things can turn but as I said this morning silver is back on one and perhaps most interestingly outperforming gold. As CHRI5P alluded to don't forget our most important product is Zinc and that's going well also. Anyone new to EUZ just dig as deep as you can go on the asset and ignore throwaway comments completely unsupported by any analysis, there are some tired and cynical LTH's and I'm amongst them but it seems some have found some cathartic relief by persistently undermining the efforts of the guys on the ground. AGM coming up soon, anyone with serious funds invested here would be mad not to pipe up at last, come on Bobby or are you planning a road trip to Ipswich again?
