I just did some basic research on ALRT. Over £28m mcap and up 3,450% since Jan. As they're still losing money it looks like it's overhyped to me. Looks like I've missed the boat on that one!

Lenoman - the rules are that if someone owns 30% of a company they must make a bid to own all of the company at the highest price paid by that shareholder for any share over the last 12 months. The reason this is there is to protect other shareholders by ensuring they receive a fair price for their shares when a significant stake in the company is acquired, preventing a situation where a new controlling shareholder could take advantage of their position.

We're being asked to waive this rule so that one shareholder can own over 50% without having to buy out the other shareholders. Once someone owns over 50% of the company they control the company because what they vote for gets passed at the AGM and what that vote against doesn't get passed. Other shareholder votes don't matter. Once they have 50% plus one they don't need to own 100% of the shares, they already control the company.

The power to control the company has a value which is why people who want to takeover a company normally pay a premium on the market price. By waiving the rule the main shareholder gets to control the company by becoming a majority shareholder at the market price. That's not right!

Dusty - you made an assumption and then threw it as an insult. Engage in the issues only. I've also pointed out your assumption was wrong so why don't you retract your insult?

That's the point Lenoman. By waiving the rule they get full control of the company by having over 50% of the company without paying a premium that is normally required. They don't need to buy 100% of the shares to have full control. The rule is there for a reason!

Not great for other shareholders. Foreign Dimensions is taking control of the company without paying for the privilege. The rules are there for a reason - takeovers normally involve a 30% premium because other shareholders have zero control when one shareholder has over 50%. That control has a value and we're being paid noting for it.

Why does this regularly jump at 2:30pm? I can only think it is US traders starting the day and buying as soon as they start work. BTW I know this isn't listed in NY but they might only buy on other exchanges when they start work.

Do you honestly believe there's enough money from people on this site to move the market? I'm not trying to deramp to buy back in. I've still got a significant investment here. I'm just giving my opinion which people can agree with or not agree with.

I've been invested in GSCG for over a year now and I've seen it shoot up to 5.5p on 1 April then since then drift down to 2p with only good drill results and fully funded current exploration phases. I'm just warning you based on what I've experienced with GSCG and they have a really experienced geologist who is very good with money. The market won't rerate this on good drill results alone, even at this low mcap. They haven't with GSCU, in fact the price is down 55% with only good assay results.

You can disagree if you like, that's your prerogative. But hurling insults is not cool!

That's not the issue. If you haven't got the money to get it out of the ground you can have the best results in the world in the most pro mining country in the world, but you won't make a bean because it's still in the ground! Mila is only funded for Phase II, so no money yet to get it out of the ground. If you're going to have mining stocks most would buy Fresnillo, the largest silver miner in the world plus gold given they're making huge profits NOW and gold and silver will likely still increase in price.

Loving all the positivity here but I feel it is misplaced. Mila has only just started Phase II. The market won't rerated this much above 1p until they get spectacular results AND funding for Phase III and beyond.
