I know you are already invested heavily and at a much lower price, but there are lots of 'ifs' in this post, Quady. Your line of reasoning at the moment would present a highly speculative (and high risk) investment case to prospective investors looking to take a position today.

You lao chose not to answer how SOLG would independently manage to raise $3bn if TA is not incorporated into the PFS, neither did you reply to the point on dilution.

Hi Quady, perhaps you are right. I feel that you may be putting your eggs in one basket though. What happens in the case that TA is not suitable/economically viable for open pit mining to fund the block cave operation required at Alpala?

I simply do not see SOLG as an independent entity being able to raise the $3bn needed to build the mine and start producing. And I'd also question why as a shareholder you would want that, as it would surely require considerable dilution?

Given that BHP and NCM hold considerable percentages of SOLG, would it not be possible to argue that a formal JV with one of these entities would constitute 'independent' financing? They are in essence a large part of the company, after all.

@crewtime the idea that NM can do anything that isn't aligned with how BHP, NCM and CGP want this company run from 01/04 onwards is thinking from another galaxy I'm afraid.

IMO the timeline will be establishing whether TA will allow for open pit mining, release of PFS done properly and then a bid around the 55-60p mark later on this year.

FWIW Dean I fully agree. I'm bullish on gold mid-long term for sure and will be increasing my exposure to producers over the next few weeks.

I'd much rather IRR dropped its monster gold MRE once the tide has turned and gold starts testing ATHs again :)

@Bozi - there isn't anything wrong with that at all. In fact, it's what serious investors in this company should all want - the business to be thorough and precise when delivering a substantial piece of work that has been 2 years in the making (one of which spent in a global pandemic).

Like you say, gold sentiment isn't particularly strong at the moment, so there is really no rush here unless you're looking to make a quick buck and chase profits elsewhere.

@leeds23 it was until about a month ago and the SP rocketed, then we had a huge influx of new members who thought that posting entire RNS going back several months/years constituted 'research'.

Always the way when stocks become flavour of the month and the traders show up.

I am going to bump this as it's Friday and work is quiet. And we are seeing more of the same today. 18% spread and the live price bouncing around from 24p (very small trades) to 21p.

I have seen various shenanigans played with this SP over the last few years but none like this.

Is this related to the warrants at all or am I way off?

Morning, I am wondering whether anyone care to help me understand the recent price action we have seen here. My understanding is that after the warrants were called we will have seen a not inconsiderable number of shares admitted to trading on the market. To my untrained eye this has caused quite severe fluctuations in price, a large spread for the MMs to play with, and at times rather large discrepancies between the live price and the SP reported on here (delays aside).

Is this a case of the market trying to establish fair value for these shares? Do the MMs have lisence to play with the price for those who wish to make a quick buck on the warrants? Is this what has been the primary driver for the pull back from 27p to where we are now?

I had thought that this morning's RNS would move the share price upwards more so than it has done today, though it seems the market wants hard numbers rather than simply visual observations. Regardless, the live price is bouncing around from half a % to 6% in the green which is quite volatile, even by this share's standards!

Any advice much appreciated.

Dean, it was Hodgefox who tweeted that the MRE was due (which it is) and Lenn commented on the visuals that Hodgefox had put together.

The word 'due' given no indication as to how soon something is to be expected. These things take time, we are still in the middle of a pandemic, and drilling will have only finished at the end of January. At least 2 weeks for assays for final drilling results, then further work required to put together a JORC compliant MRE.

In the meantime I believe we'll be updated further on the lithium project in Ghana which should help to support the SP.

My understanding is that the drilling that was completed at the end of Jan will be included in the MRE. Personally expecting to the MRE to be delivered end of Q1 at the earliest.

@redknight your Monday chat can't have been that comforting as you sold the majority of your holding a day or two later.

I sought to add a modestnumber of shares to my holding this morning and wasn't quoted a price. 30 mins later it was 0.2999p to buy. Looking forward to the news due here.

Quady, read my post. This isn't about production or not, so no I'm not saying the RNS is false. Perhaps you could read what I actually stated rather than attempting to 'read between the lines'

To accuse people of 'sounding like amateurs' for criticising the company for abject failure is just name-calling. Perhaps the entire market is made up of amateurs which is why we've dropped 20% today. Keep shifting goalposts fella.

Quady, people are upset because NM and his team have failed to deliver on the only thing able to support the SP in the short to medium term. They have delayed it repeatedly and ultimately botched it. This has nothing to do with going to production or not, it is to do with shocking mismanagement of the company and inability to deliver on strategy.

This has caused the SP to drop like a stone and for NM's words of 'multiple exit points for shareholders' to be utter dross.

Do you still take every word he utters as gospel?

There was never going to be production within 12 months, nor will there be in 12 months time. Do you have any idea how this all works?
